DNA is the molecule that makes up an organism's genome in the nucleus of every cell. It consists of genes, which are the molecular codes for proteins – the building blocks of our tissues and their functions. It also consists of the molecular codes that regulate the output of genes – that is, the timing and degree of protein-making. DNA shapes how an organism grows up and the physiology of its blood, bone, and brains.

While the genetic difference between individual humans today is minuscule – about 0.1%, on average – study of the same aspects of the chimpanzee genome indicates a difference of about 1.2%. Most importantly, chimpanzees, bonobos, and humans all show this same amount of difference from gorillas.
Due to billions of years of evolution, humans share genes with all living organisms. The percentage of genes or DNA that organisms share records their similarities. We share more genes with organisms that are more closely related to us.
Two people, a boy and the girl, sat across a desk from a scientist. The scientist had his hands together on the desk, where a piece of written on paper laid. "Now we have known this for quite sometime, and now, after multiple testings and DNA testing, we've created a gene to help us become closer to the animals around us." He pushed the piece of paper closer. "This is your contract. We will be completely honest with any questions you have regarding anything at all. Now progress in the beginning will be.. unbearable, to say the least. We will provide as much painkillers and other substances to help with the pain, however due to addiction reasons most times you'll... I'm not going to lie, you'll suffer like never before. Are you two still willing to try?"
The boy glanced to the girl, she stared at the paper. "Our dreams are on the line. We're so close and we know that this would be an extremely painful path to walk, but its what we always wanted to be." She gripped her boyfriend's hand tightly and glanced up to the scientist. "And our identities? What will-"
The scientist cut in. "Your identities will be erased, you will become missing on the local news. I'm sorry, but as you already know, this can not get out of what we are doing here. Soon as your name goes on here, you will no longer exist and choose a new name. In which you will write here." He pointed to one of the lower blank lines on the sheet, then took back his arm. "Now, as agreed, you both will be in the same room."
They glanced to each other, the girl glanced down and grab hold on her boyfriends hand. Looking back, he wrote down his name, then his new name, the girl did the same after he was done and the scientist took the paper away. "Welcome then. You may go back to your apartment, pack up one suitcase, no need for clothes really, we will provide you with many things to keep you comfortable. Pack what you will need. A car will be out front to pick you up."
In the apartment the two were packing, he glanced over to her, watching her place items into her suitcase, he came up and wrapped his arms around her in an embrace with a smile. "Our dreams are finally coming true."
She smiled and wrapped her arms onto of his, across her waist. "Yes. They are."
He kissed her cheek. "I love you."
She giggled, turning her head around to kiss him. "I love you to."
They both walked out of the apartment, seeing the black car out front waiting for them, the man there was kind enough to take their bags into the trunk as they got into the back seats.
She stared out the window as the car left, rain poured down against the window, feeling a hand, she glanced over to her loved one smiling at her. She smiled back as he rested his head over onto her plush tummy as she stroked his hair, knowing he was there with her, she had no fear going into this with him.
Entering the place, the driver had given the bags over to the staff for inspection, while two doctors stood side by side awaiting for them to get out of the car. The boy cake out first, the male came up to him. "Enrus I presume." He held out his hand. "I am Doctor Jukel. We'll be seeing each other a lot for body inspections."
Enrus shook his hand and nodded. "Yes, I'm Enrus Mindara." He turned to wait for his girlfriend.
She got out and came up, as the female doctor went up to her to greet. "I am Doctor Candis. I will be your doctor."
She shook hands with her. "Velvet Baxton. Now I was told that at first we will have separate rooms, why is that?"
She cupped her hands as she answered. "Unfortunately yes, in the beginning you will be separated. This is due to the extreme pain you both will endure, and it might get so extreme as to one of you killing the other or killing yourselves just to be free of pain. But we promise once the pain has eased enough, you will be moved to your actual dorm. Though we do not know how long that will be."
Doctor Jukel stepped in. "The cells you are in are made of bullet proof glass, so you will be beside each other. We want you to be as comfortable as possible, of course, however I'm afraid you won't be comfortable for a while once these testings have begun."
Both Doctors stepped aside, Doctor Candis nodded her head towards the building. "Shall we go in now? Today will just be body examines, then a few shots such as vaccine, and ending the day with placing you both into your rooms, the scientist's don't wished to rush you."
Coming up to the big silver doors made them feel nervous enough, Velvet swallowed and held onto Enrus's hand tighter. Enrus glanced down and smiled, tugging her hand. "Hey." Getting her to glance up to him. "It'll be alright. I'll be here for you." She smiled and kissed him. Though she was happy he said something to assure her, she still was very scared to go in, watching as the doors opened before them.
