One day when the power went out, Sophie, her older sister, Jade, and her mom and dad, Jill and Tom, were all gathered downstairs. "Whats that?" Sophie said. Sophie had heard running back and forth upstairs. They all went upstairs to see if someone was there. When they checked, they didn't see anyone. "I could have sworn I saw some sort of shadow." Jade whispered to Sophie. As they went downstairs, they heard it again upstairs even louder than before. Sophie and Jade dashed upstairs before their parents had seen where they had gone. "Stand back, Sophie, I don't want you getting hurt." Jade said. "I don't want you getting hurt either!" Sophie cried. "Its fine! Just stay there!" Jade said. Sophie didn't move. "Its ok...." Jade whispered. "We are nice people...." "Jade!" Sophie cried. Sophie had gotten scared. "Stay back!" Jade yelled. "You took from me the only thing I could ever love....so I will take from you one of the only things you ever cared about!" They heard the darkness scream. Their parents began to float. "NOOOOOOO!!!" Sophie screamed at the top of her lungs. "TAKE ME INSTEAD!!!" "SOPHIE NO!" Jade screamed. "Works for me!" The darkness responded. Sophie began to rise. "NOOOO!!!" Jade screamed. "I have to do this...." Sophie said. "I will never forget you..." Sophie said. And just like that, Sophie vanished. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
