Bryce"Sweetie, it's time for school." My mom murmured in a soft voice, brushing my hair away from my face with a gentle hand.
I nodded and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes before getting up and walking to my closet and pulling on a pair of ripped up jeans and a jumper. I had very limited clothes and shoes since my parents were low on money this week. Hence why my dad was on a month long business trip.
I pulled on my old maroon converse and plopped down on my bed and ran a hand through my dark brown hair stressfully. I had a gut wrenching feeling about this new school I was going to and I just prayed to the Goddess that this school would be better.
At my last school many of the wolves thought it was funny to pick on me because I was different from the rest of them. I was the smallest wolf in my pack which was unusual since nobody in my pack were tiny but me. I also had this disorder called Heterochromia that caused my eyes to be two different colors which was another reason why people bullied me. I had one of my mothers striking blue eyes and one of my dads light brown eyes, and even though my mom told me I was special I still was called a freak by everyone else and laughed at.
I yawned and grabbed my school bag before walking down the stairs and grabbing my keys. I kissed my moms cheek and walked out the door and hopped in my old black Jeep that I had got for my 13th birthday from my dad, obviously I wasn't able to use it yet but when I was able to I drove it everywhere. I smiled softly at the thought of my dad. He was my hero.
Even though we were rogues, we still managed to get by without a pack. It was hard but it was worth it since I was no longer bullied and picked on by people which was why my dad and mom left the pack. It was all worth it though.
I started my car as I drove the short drive to my new high school. To say I was nervous would be an understatement, I was beyond nervous.
I parked my car in the parking lot of the school with a huff. I walked into the school and gulped in fear when I sensed all the werewolves in the school and even a few humans. I gripped the strap of my school bag tighter as I made my way to the front office ignoring the puzzled expressions of people around me.
I opened the office glass door and walked up to the front desk where a tiny lady was sitted glaring at her computer. I furrowed my eyebrows when she didn't look up and continued to glare at her computer.
"Stupid piece of shi- oh hey! Didn't see you there." She laughed nervously and looked at me expectantly causing me to mentally facepalm.
"Uh, s-sorry. I'm Bryce Gray, I'm n-new?" I stuttered awkwardly hoping she would understand so I could get out of this awkward situation. Her eyes widened and she quickly looked around her desk and picked up a piece of paper and gave it to me.
I looked down and saw it was my time table and I looked up and smiled gratefully, "Thank you ma'am." She waved and gave me a bright smile as I exited.
I looked around as I walked and was shocked at how big this school actually was. There were hundreds of kids just walking around and talking which made me a little bit more nervous. I walked faster and opened the door to my English class after making sure it was the correct one.
"How may I help you?" A gruff man asked, he was bald and had glasses that hung off his eyes. I almost laughed at the bright pink polo he was wearing but decided to not be rude.
