He was boy of about five or six. He had straight blonde hair and hazel eyes. It would be a shock to see a boy this age in the middle of the woods without anyone with him. But that's not what shocked Elsa.
His face and clothes were covered in blood. It was dried and brown. He grinned up at Elsa.
Then, in a low, scratchy voice that no boy his age could possess, he declared, "Die!"
He pounced on Elsa, who fell backwards screaming. The boy bit her left shoulder and started to chew. Elsa screamed louder. She managed to get her hands around his torso and push him back as far as she could. Then she pulled her leg up and kicked him off her.
He immediately stood and ran at Elsa again.
She raised her leg and kicked him harder before scrambling up. She clutched her wounded shoulder with her right hand. A fair amount of blood was escaping. Elsa stumbled backwards and began to run as the boy stood again and ran at her.
"I'm coming to get you!" He said in the voice that couldn't be his.
The sun was nearly gone and Elsa had to strain to see.
"Ashton!" She yelled, running deeper into the woods. "Ashton, where are you?!"
She could hear the boy trying to keep up behind her, but his legs were too short, and he fell back.
"You don't stand a chance!" He called.
Soon enough Elsa couldn't hear him anymore. Tears escaped her eyes. She had a wounded shoulder, a missing brother, she didn't know how to get back to the house and she was all alone except for the company of a tiny cannibal that was currently chasing her.
The sun was gone. Elsa took out her phone to use it as a torch.
"Ashton." She called half-heartedly.
"Elsa?"
Elsa pointed her phone screen upward. Ashton was sitting in a tree, his face pale white.
"Elsa, in front of you!" Ashton shouted, his voice rising in pitch.
Elsa pointed her phone screen in front of her just in time to see a miniature version of the boy who bit her shoulder wrap his arms around her legs and bite the right one. She screamed in agony and tried to shake him off but he had his jaws locked firmly into her flesh. Elsa felt his tongue push into the bite wound and wriggle around inside. She fainted.
