C H A P T E R T H R E E

"Owayyeke ozuye, wake up my darling."

Ophelia's eyes flutter open to the soft voice. A pair of hazel eyes stared right back into her own with concern. As Ophelia's senses come to her slowly she soon realizes that the woman above her was Sarah Black, Ophelia's mother.

"Mama?" Tears pool in her eyes. Sarah smiles softly at her daughter. "Yes, papoose it's me." A warm hand pushes back Ophelia's black hair from her face. "Come on let's sit you up." Sarah helps Ophelia sit back up slowly.

Ophelia is quick to wrap her arms around her mothers' shoulders. A melodic laugh comes from the two as they enjoy their reunion. "How are you here? Where are we?"

Sarah hushes her, "I can not say much papoose. I promise you will find out soon enough."

"What do you mean?" Ophelia asks quietly.

"You are about to embark on this new adventure. that you must stay strong in. You must promise me papoose that you will not give up okay?"

The youngest black nods her head slowly, still unsure what to think. "Let's take a walk, shall we? Tell me what I've missed." Sarah suggests; helping Opehlia to her feet.

The two take a walk in the forest reaching a small cabin at the end of the trail. "Mama, what are we doing here?" Sarah looks back at her daughter with a smile, "Come on Papoose, there is someone I would like for you to meet."

"You don't have a boyfriend in heaven do you?" Ophelia paused for a second, "Wait, am I in heaven? Did I die?" Ophelia's breath quickens, "No darling, you're perfectly fine. You're not dead I promise." Sarah pulls her into a comforting hug.

The two walk through the forest when they come to a beautiful clearing, much like the one Sarah would take Ophelia when she was younger. "Hello Ophelia, my how you have grown." a beautiful woman appears in front of them, although she appears to be older Ophelia is still taken back by her beauty.
