CHAPTER 1:
The man in the blue scrubs sighed. The numbers on the clock seemed to blurr as he rubbed his eyes. He took in his surroundings. Four white walls with a bed and a chair beside it. In the bed was the most beautiful girl he had ever laid eyes on. Her deep brown hair fell just above her hips. Little wisps surrounded her face, and two complametary large hazel eyes framed with long, thick black eye lashes. Her rose colored lips looked pale and chapped under the lamp above her. The girl. They had caught the girl and she was here. The society's most wanted is laying 5 feet away from him. Granted she had caused a hell-a trouble to their society. He checked her blood level again. Healthy. He glanced at her again. Pale and unconious and innocent. So close...he could touch her...He reached out but was tooken back by a loud thud. Three old men in purple robes stood before him. All of them wore frowns. The middle one spoke first, "I see you found her." The man in the blue shook his head voilently. His voice cracking as he speaks. "Yes. She was running in the woods by the end of the city limits. I'm guessing she was trying to hid the other Resistances." The old man at the end shook his head and look at the girl in deep thought. "That simply won't do. How is her memory? Will she be able to tell us more about the Resistance?" The man in the blue looked around the room, panicked. "We haven't all day, boy." snapped the one in the middle. The man in in the blue took a deep breath. "There is a blockage. In her brain. In the arteries the lead to the memories part of the brain." The man at the end rolled his dusty eyes. "What does this mean?" The man in the blue rubbed the back of his neck. "She will have no memory, Elders."
CHAPTER 2:
The Girl with chestnut hair and piercing green eyes twirled in a circle. Feeling the way the velvet from her dress feels in between her fingers. Enjoying the cool grass under her feet. She tilts her head back and closes her eyes, soaking in the sun. A smile plays at the corner of her mouth. "John, what on earth are you doing?" John snaps her head up, her eyes
showing much amusement towards her grandmother. "Sorry, Gran." John says a bit out of breath. "I was just wondering off again..." The old lady gave her a sharp frown and tugged at the green eyed girl's arm. "Well stop now, ya hear? It's about time for lock down. You won't be causing no more trouble."
"Yes, Gran." John mummbled and gave one last longing look at her favorite maple tree, then tred behind her grandmother out of the market. They took the train ride home in silence, anxious for the up coming events to happen. They walked through the front yard. John stoping to get a good look. The yard was cut clean. Of course. Never got higher than a inch. Never brown or wilted. Green. Mostly from the chemicals of the factorys. Their house stood in a line with all the other gray houses. Neatly on their front door were the letters 1678. It was a simple one story house. No toys on the lawn or chimes hanging from the porch. No colors. I walked slowly inside and the door closed a with a hollow click. Inside the dull house gray was plastered over the walls. A living room with a single couch and a hologram screen for updates on the city, then a door connecting to the kitchen, along with a hallway leading to the various bedrooms. John had memorized this house up a down. As much as she could. She played memories with her family until she could remember. What happened after her 15 birthday? A petite women with dark black hair stood in front of her. Her stunning blue eyes stared her down. "Gran said you wondered off again." She said rather quietly. John nodded slowly. "I'm sorry, mom. I just could help it. The grass was green the air was blue and that tree was calling my name." The strained mother put her palm to her face. "John, baby, you know that's the only tree we have in town. They could take away our food packages for a week, or worse they cod take Timmy away!" She said with a sharp tone. John flinched at Timmys name. The only boy in a family of 7. Ever sense the war started the Elders had become desperate for people to help fight aginst the unknown. They couldn't take little Timmy. The mother sighed and brushed a strand of hair that had fallen in Johns face. "You know how the Elders feel about you." She whispered.
