The deep purple and orange sky reminded Jimin that he needed to head home soon, otherwise he wouldn't be able to greet Yoongi when he got out of work.
His day had been alright, not great but not bad either. He had gone to his university early in the morning and spent the rest of the day at the library doing some research for his literature project.
The sun was beginning to set, and he had gotten a fair amount of work done so he decided to start heading home.
He grabbed his messenger bag from the chair and his keys, then waved goodbye to the old man sitting in the front desk.
It was mid January, and it was cold, Jimin thought it would start snowing soon.
He zipped up his oversized jacket, slipped on his gloves followed by his black beanie and then wrapped his fluffy scarf safely around his neck.
He was all set to go.
He smiled to himself and started walking down the street. There was a small amount of pedestrians, probably most of them were barely getting out of work.
His car was parked a few blocks away, so he started to quicken his pace and hoped that he wouldn't end up turning into a popsicle before he even got to it.
He was only one block away when he spotted a homeless woman wrapped up in a thin dirty blanket, he hated witnessing how unfair god and life could be some times, so he did what he always does when he comes across this situations and stopped in front of the woman.
"Here you go," he dug inside his bag and pulled out whatever cash he had in there. Most people wouldn't normally give a homeless person more than just a few won, but Jimin was not like most people. He never questioned why people were homeless in the first place, he never thought about what they would use the money for and he never counted the money he gave them either.
When the woman looked up to him, her eyes were wide and a little red, probably from the cold wind. She noticed how sweet and genuine Jimin was being, and smiled weakly at him.
She lifted a hand to grab the money and her blanket fell to the ground, a cute puppy was curled up in a ball on her lap, and Jimin bent down to pet it.
"Aw, she's so cute!" He cooed, his small, frozen hand touched the top of the dog's fluffy head, and the puppy licked his hand in return.
"She must be freezing," he said under his breath.
"It's a boy, and he probably is." The woman said sadly, "Do you want to take him with you? You look like you would be a much better owner than me, I don't want him to be out in the cold like me," she said to Jimin who was staring at her with wide eyes.
"He's so smart and he is out of his puppy stage, he won't chew on your shoes, and won't pee on your floor," she said with pleading eyes, "Just treat him good."
"I- Are you sure? Won't you be sad?" The woman smile and nodded, "Of course I will be sad, but he deserves better and I can't give that to him right now, so please, take him," she cradled the puppy in her hands and pushed it towards Jimin.
"O-okay," he smiled, grabbing the dog and making sure to not squeeze him too tight.
"You should go now, it looks like it might snow," the woman said.
But before Jimin left, he took off his gloves and his scarf and offered them to the kind woman, "Take these too, please stay healthy."
