I was broken
Shattered
Nothing could go right
In my eyes
Ever smile I faked
Was just another one of the lies
Tender and hopeful
Was her smile small
Her clever wit made me laugh
Happy even for a while
She gave me words of faith
When I needed it most
When I was on the edge
Falling off the coast
She cared
Sometimes that was enough
To keep me moving
Even though it was tough
A fallen angel
That I love
Near or far
My light in darkness
