How was everything created? Was there a time where there was nothing? If so, how was something created from nothing?
Though nobody really KNOWS the answer to these questions, they are obviously asked very often when speaking about the universe. Since no one knows for sure, the best we can to is make theories and do the best we can to get evidence to prove said theories. One of the most popular theories is called creationism which is basically the belief that
God/a God created everything.
Here's how Wikipedia describes creationism in an overview:Creationism is the religious belief that the universe and life originated "from specific acts of divine creation,"as opposed to the scientific conclusion that they came about through natural processes. The first use of the term "creationist" to describe a proponent of creationism is found in an 1856 letter of Charles Darwin describing those who objected on religious grounds to the emerging science of evolution.
Understand? Good.
The Big Bang theory ((no not the show, tho that is a good show-))
is the theory that one second there was nothing and then the next, there was everything due to an explosion. Particles and elements were brought together by gravity, which over millions and millions of years, formed planets, stars, Suns, and everything else in the galaxies that makes up our universe.Obviously that is the more scientific aspect of looking at the universe while creationism is more religious. One of the problems with creationism is that often while people are arguing with it and against the Big Bang, they tend to claim "how something come from nothing?"
That argument makes no sense if you think about it- if creationism is true and God created everything, technically he would've had to come from something which would be nothing. How would this all powerful magical being just be there? Though we currently can't disprove god's existence l, you can't validly prove it either.
The universe is incomprehensibly large and complicated so there is obviously no way of KNOWING, just thinking. And with life on earth specifically, there is much proof saying it has to do with evolution, NOT the whole Adam and Eve thing. I'm not saying that isn't a possibility, I'm just saying the fact which is that there's more proof for evolution and the Big Bang. But let's get back to the universe in general, not just earth life specifically. Was there ever nothing? What was there when there was nothing?
When there wasn't even a when or where-
Though no one knows, there are many speculations.
Many think there was simply nothing kinda like how deep sleeping is, that peaceful state of unconsciousness and nothingness. It's similar to how birth is like waking up though you never went to sleep and death is like going to sleep and supposedly never waking up. We may not know but be rational and open while discussing.Aaa sorry this is short I'm tired hopefully I'll post better stuff in the future ~Midori
