Three days went by in a flash and now, Alice is heading back to the Academy in this limo fashion. She heaved a silent sigh as she leaned against the dark tinted windows of the vehicle.

A throne...

A seal...

A woman and...

A Crib...

Fragments of scenes came in like it was part of a movie or her memory. Thus, it resulted for Alice to groan and shut her eyes tightly. Her fingers immediately touched her throbbing temples.

"Are you in pain, Lady Alice?" Ken, one of the oldest servants of the Tepes family, kept on throwing glances to the female through the mirror. He was trying to keep his attention on the road but his concern still darts toward his true master.

"I-I'm fine. Keep your eyes on the road." She dismissed his worries with a flash of smile before curling her fingers under her chin.

"Understood, milady." And just like that, the chauffeur stepped into the gas and sped off towards the Academy.

Knock, knock, knock

"Kaname, the headmaster just informed me that Alice will be here by this evening." As usual, Ichijou came to his office to give him a word. He invited himself in knowing that his friend is awake and breathing.

The pureblood was there, lying on his couch with a book covering his face. He raised his dominant hand to let him know that he heard him loud and clear. He was still upset at how his conversation with the Headmaster ended up. Not only that, it bothered him further to know that Alice and Zero are working together without his consent.

His ears perked when the sound of the clanging tea wares reverberated. He got the book out of his face then adjusted himself so his friend could sit down. "We're getting a new student too." He announced.

"Is that why you seemed so stress?" Ichijou set his tea down on the table. To be honest, it was a puzzle for the rest of their kind to see the two enjoying a cup of tea.

"I guess." Kaname shrugged and inhaled deeply.  He adjusted himself in a sitting position before grabbing his cup. "Is there something you'd like to say?" He asked after catching the blonde staring at him for a long time.

Ichijou shortly shook his head and stared at his half emptied cup. His thumb brushed the gold-lined rim and felt his own lips curving upwards. "Nothing." He brushed him off.
Kaname stared at him with a brow raised in question. He opened his mouth to say something when the former interrupted him.

"It's just that...ever since Alice came here, it feels like you're slowly showing us your real self." Ichijou placed his cup back to its saucer then placed his hands on his knees. "I guess, this is just me being sensitive." He laughed at the end.

Kaname brushed his long brown locks away from his eyes using his left hand. For a moment, he stayed like that in silence. He stared at the empty space in front of him for a good amount of time. Then, he saw Alice place a hand on his shoulder telling him everything will be fine.

Although he knew it was just an illusion, to him, it felt surreal.
Just then, another knock was heard. The door opened revealing a fidgeting Yuuki on the other side and a scowling Ruka holding the door for her.

Ichijou chuckled then stood up from his seat. "I guess my time's up. We'll leave the two of you alone, okay?" He playfully shoved Ruka out and winked towards the other female.

Flustered, Yuuki's cheeks flared in different shades of red. She meekly bowed her head and made her way to her idolized upperclassman.

"Do you need something from me, Yuuki?" Kaname inquired right after he heard the audible click. He placed his cup down after he finished his tea.

He noticed how the female would jolt and fiddle with her thumbs. Though he could hear her heart's rhythm, he always pretended that he doesn't have any clue.

"A-are you free this evening, senpai?"

By the time they arrived at the Academy, Ken immediately climbed out from his seat and held the door for Alice. He bowed his head, refusing to meet the pureblood in her eyes due to his personal code of conduct. There were times wherein Alice cursed at him for being stiff but he knew she meant it for a good reason.

"Raise your head." Alice commanded with a weary expression on her face. "I'm not asking you to be a blind follower. I—"

"'Only need your loyalty as a friend.'" Ken finished her line like he knew it by heart.

Both of them chuckled before the old man gave Alice a hug. "You deserve a hug and more for all of your hard work." He muttered and felt a few taps on his back.

"But I wish you'd simply voice what you want and get selfish for once."

Alice laughed, although it came out like it was forced. "It will be the end of the world once that happens, Ken." She joked then retracted her arms to her side. She held a strained smile, like always, and bowed towards him.

"Thank you for staying with us, Ken."
The old man got flustered to his core. He slammed the door shut, waved his hands in front of him while simultaneously reprimanding the pureblood for bowing her head to the likes of him.

"We've done nothing but give you grief." He said before climbing back to the car. Without waiting for her reply, Ken drove off down the road.

Click!

Alice knew that someone pressed the barrel of their anti-vampire weapon to the back of her head. With a single sniff, she can already tell who it was and it made her scowl.

"I'll take that as your greeting, Yagari." Her voice went a pitch lower than normal.

A small gust of wind rustled their clothings and their hair. They stood there for what seemed to be eternity until Alice's ears twitched at the sound of another click.

"Put your gun down, Yagari." It was Kaien in his menacing tone. He was holding his weapon with a similar structure as Zero's Bloody Rose while the other hunter used his shotgun.
"Would you really side with a murderer?" He spat to his friend.

Kaien's frown deepened, his finger slowly closing in to the trigger of his gun. "That doesn't change the fact that she's a student here and your actions are violating the treaty!" He hissed.

Alice sighed as she continued to listen to their banterings. She shifted all her weight to her left leg then crossed her arms. "Can we go to a place that's warm and cozy?" She demanded for their sake.

"No thanks! I'd rather die than spend a day in this place." Yagari hissed.

"Come on, don't be such a sour pup, Yacchan." Alice reacted in a sing sang voice. She turned around, swatted the weapon out from her view then locked her arms around the said hunter.

"We all know that this flimsy kind of a weapon won't work on me." Alice purred while her fingers were tracing Yagari's jaw. She felt him shiver under her touch.

"I'll give you the answer if you'll follow me." She smirked and gave him a tap on his shoulder. Chuckling, she proceeded to walk towards the gate.
