He thought. For a very long time. He thought about why, he'd fallen in love with her, he thought about what "dating" someone meant. He thought about every single aspect. He thought and realised. That she didn't know the other side of him, or perhaps she'd figured out. So he called her to make sure she knew.
It was about 2 minutes before he reached her voicemail. Where he left the message. "Hey Eleanor it's time you knew. I work at the café we went to a few days ago. And still haven't paid off the bill for our meal. I had to drop out of uni because my parents fell out, and couldn't pay my fees. I really hope this doesn't change anything.
Love,
Harry."
And that was the first time Harry ever said the word "love" to Eleanor. The fact that it was over the phone, just made it so much easier. He waited for a reply, constantly tapping his fingers against the desk. Upon which his phone rang with a new message from Eleanor. "No Harry, it does not.
Love,
Eleanor"Harry now knew that Eleanor felt the same way. It's amazing how many emotions can be expressed through one single word "love". But still Harry was afraid. For what if he couldn't match her standards or be the man she wants him to be. Or take her out for lunch every Sunday and breakfast every Monday. He knew he loved her so deeply, but he also knew he couldn't have her.
