I'm running so fast
the world always
seems to pass
in slow motionRunning from
darkness the distance
yet I can see
the fear in its eyesI hear
the sharp blows
as my ears are filed
with the sound of ringingthe burning smell
makes my eyes
begin to see a world
I'm trying to escapeThe hard stone
under my feet
hurts my ankles as it
hones on meReality floods my
mind as I plead
It's coming so slowly, why?
Still running from darknessI sit up feeling
cold sweat on my neck
I drink from the cold cup
as I look to the rightThe line takes my attention
making me rejoice
like drinking fresh wine
I hear the ring of the flat line.
