Chapter 019
P.O.V: Shoyo Hinata

"We're back..." Kei said, his voice traveling through the house announcing his and Haru's arrival back from another long day of work/school. "This conversation isn't over Haru..." Kei said, clearly sound very much upset with Haru

"Welco—."

Haru had ran past me almost knocking me over in a rush to get away from Kei, he had slipped out of the house from the back door towards the large tree in the back; a place he'd go to whenever he needed sometime to himself to cool off. Every since we moved into this house next to Kozume and Kuroo that tree had become Haru's little get away from home, Kei and I even thought about building him a tree house up there since he liked it so much but we haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

"Damn it Haru come here and apologize right now!" Kei said, shouting after him from the back door but there wasn't any sign of him come back.

"What happened...?" I asked, sounding concerned.

"...He got into another fight today at school." He said, running a hand over his face. "Apparently some of the kids were picking on one of the twins and Haru stepped into the defend them, same kids who were picking on him for not having a mom." He explained, a sigh escaping from his lips.

"He must of been really hurt..."I said, as I glance out into yard to find Haru sitting up in the tree with a frown. "Were you able to talk to him on the way at least? I am pretty sure he needed." I said, looking away from Haru to look up Kei.

"Well...I tried but we just ended up arguing the whole ride back. Haru has absolutely no respect for me whatsoever, and I wish he would stop fighting with me." Kei said, another sigh escaping from his lips as he walked away from the back door. "Maybe I should just step back and let you handle this I mean out of the both us Haru loves you the most and he clearly listens to you." Kei expressed, gesturing to the back door.

"...You know that Haru loves you, right? Despite the constant bickering he does love you and respect you." I said, turning towards with a small smile. "I know it may sound like an excuse despite how long we've all been living under the same roof but you and Haru are practically stranger to each other, your both so caught up in the idea of not wanting to step on each other's toes that when you do interact with one another it always results in an argument between the two of you. Don't you think it's time one of you reaches out to the other? This cautious behavior between the two of you isn't going to help your relationship." I said, cupping his face in between my hands.

"...Why is that you always know what to say?" He asked, a chuckle escaping from his lips. "I love the little squirt too...I just wish he gave me a chance to actually be there for him instead of treating me like the bad guy."

"Have you stopped and wondered that maybe he just wants you to chase him?"

"What do you mean?"

"What I mean is that instead of letting the conversation end where it did, why don't you go out there and talk to him? You're so quick to let him go because you're afraid you might hurt him when you shouldn't be. Haru is our son now and he loves you, and I think with a little bit more precipitance you could end up winning him over." I said, taking a hold of his hand in mine.

"Okay, okay I am willing to give it another try." He said, giving me a small smile.

Kei and I walked out into the backyard towards the large tree that Haru was sitting in looking out towards somewhere with a frown on his face. Haru turned his back towards us when saw us coming facing the other way not wanting to face Kei.
