My eyes flutter open and feel a warm spark flow through my body. I look over and see Maxon waking me up with a kiss.
"Good morning, beautiful." He sweetly says with his voice like honey.
"Good morning, handsome" I say returning the kiss." I could get used to being woken up like that." I say smiling ear to ear.
"Let's head to breakfast my princess, or should I say queen?" He says after we get ready. I sigh.
"I'm just nervous. What if I ruin the the whole country or something. I say throwing my hands in the air. Maxon laughs lightly.
I know you will be perfect for not only me, but the whole country. If you weren't ready for this, I wouldn't have put this on you. We will get through this." He says sweetly, looking into my eyes with the eyes I fell in love with..
"Together?" I ask like a little kid.
"Together." He confirms and kisses me sweetly.
That's all I need and I know we can do this ... I hope.

We eat our wonderful breakfast in silence and was only broken when Maxon got up to go to his meeting.
"I'm sorry love, but I must get going." He tugs his ear and I smile, tugging my ear as well. After he leaves the room, the queen clears her throat.
"America, the meeting that you were supposed to attend," She starts, "has been postponed due to the princess of Italy having the stomach flu. So you may do as you please." As much as I wish Maxon could share this day with me, I am glad I don't have to go through the excruciating meeting it was going to be. I head to the garden and the fresh air flows throughout my body. I have been so busy preparing to become queen, I haven't had time to go outside lately.
I sit on the bench me and Maxon usually spend our free time at, just to enjoy each others company. A loud, gunshot like noise goes off. I look around and see the guards that were protecting me laying on the ground in their own pool of blood. I start to sprint, but then a rebel stops me.
"Hello princess, what a honor it is to meet you." He mock bows. "Don't worry, we will have lots of time together, but I am afraid I will have to cut this short.". He says giving me a evil smile. I try to escape, but he hits me with the but of his gun, and Blackness surrounds me.

Okay there is the first chapter! I hoped you enjoyed it. Sorry if there is errors, because I am doing this on my iPod on a bus and that is not the easiest thing in the world. I will go back and fix it later
