The TV started rolling the credits of the Notebook, and the three of us started bawling all over again, crying over how single we were and how amazing the movie was in general.

"That movie never, ever fails to make me cry," Hailee whispered, dabbing away at her eyes. I nodded in agreement, and Liza started sniffling again in response. We all sat in the dark for a couple minutes, surveying the wreckage in my room with the light of the screen. There was popcorn strewn over my bed, which we were currently laying on, and tissue boxes were systematically placed in between the three of us.

Welcome to the typical sleepover at my house.  Liza was the smartest and academically-talented out of the three of us. Hailee was the boy-crazy and most extroverted one, and I was just, me, I guess. I was the most sensible in our friend circle, and was probably the shy one.  We all met in kindergarten and just stuck together since.

I struggled to find my phone and finally found it under Hailee's blanket. Turning it on, my eyes widened at the 9:37 pm glaring back at me.

"Guys, get up, my brother is going to come home any minute now!" I yelled trying to push Liza off me in no avail.

"So? Your brother knows us, he's not going to care about us having a movie marathon," Liza said making herself comfortable in the pillows.

Well, this was pretty true, as my older brother, Sean, had grown used to my sleepovers with my two best friends, and just avoided us all whenever he was home during them. He's currently in college- which brings me back to the situation at hand.

"You two seriously need to get up, he's bringing friends with him-" I started.

"Friends?" Hailee asked, getting up.

"Yes, my parents said he could bring friends along with him when he visits," I said finally pushing Liza off my leg and getting off the bed to pick up popcorn.

The two started asking me questions about who was coming with Sean but I just shrugged because I had no idea and continued to clean up. Hailee suddenly yelped, causing Liza and I to turn to see what was wrong.

"What's wrong?" Liza asked, finally standing up. Hailee gestured towards all of us as a reply, and Liza and I just looked at each other, confused.

"LOOK AT WHAT WE'RE WEARING!" Hailee yelled, pointing to her clothes like a madwoman. I mean she had a point, we weren't in any position to recieve company. I was in a pair of cut-off shorts and an old t-shirt, and the other two were wearing shorts with horrible-looking T-shirts as well. I mean it was a sleepover, what do you expect?

"Here, we can change real quick into some of my clothes-" I suggested, running to my closet.

The doorbell rang.

"Shit," the three of us whispered in unison.

We all made our way downstairs, trying to adjust the clothes we had on, and pulling up our horrific hair into messy buns.

I opened the door to set my eyes on one probably the most attractive guy I had ever seen. The three of us just stared at him, until we heard a string of curses coming from the pavement leading up to our house.

Yup, there's my brother.

Not wasting any time, I awkwardly ran out of the house, pushing past the stranger, trying to get my brother before- BAM!

I groaned in pain, my hand immediately going up to my forehead. I squinted my eyes to get them to adjust to the light, and saw the same guy that rang my doorbell with his hand covering his nose. Wait, what? I whipped back to look at the entrance of my house and saw Hailee, Liza, and mystery stranger #1 jogging towards us, looking concerned.

Then who did I bump into?

I looked back at the guy I bumped into, and barely had time to make out a beauty mark near his right eye before the world went dark.
