Axilite is a planet, more like earth. But the outside from space is like a parallel universe. Flying cars, floating islands, taller buildings, and one more small island with a taller building which is a big theater. The interior of the theater reminds me of the metropolitan opera theater but the seats and balconies were fifty levels tall. There were even monorails with tracks even higher than a long trail in the sky. The monorails usually go all over the city to the island. There were also malls, fast food restaurants, parks, and a music store there.
This is year 70,291 in Axilitian time, and 2016 in earth time. Axilite formed Ten-thousand years ago. I was born, fifteen years ago in 70,276, in the planet.
Only for me, I'm a princess, my sister, Tegan is eight years older than me and she is the queen. We can't see each other often because she lives in the bottom of the city, which is sort of some underground refuge. Although, the story began when I found the music store in Filmier road. Lucky the door is open. Thus, they didn't have what I liked but only strange looking ones.
"What are you looking for? How may I help you?" said a familiar voice which was the owner, an old man.
"Do you sell pianos?" I said.
"We sell no pianos but we have some musical instruments like a piano, we have a mellotron," said the old man pointing at a strange looking keyboard. I looked at it but there was no price tag. I turned to look at him again.
"It costs eighty dollars but it is on sale for a dime. It's handheld and portable. Go ahead, take it," he said.
"I have no dimes,"
"Pfft, you should look for some on the floor and you may be lucky. Try looking in your pockets," the old man chuckled.
I put my hands in my pocket and found a single gold coin inside.
"This is my only coin, but its gold."
"Aha! We accept anything gold too!" Said the old man.
I gave the gold coin to the old man and he gave me the small mellotron.
"Here you go," said the old man and waved bye as I exit the store.
When I got home, I tried out my mellotron. I can play a song and sing without a sheet music. I have one special song I can sing, here it goes:
"Space is a dark void,
night makes the sky dark,
Stars make the constellations
We find."
"Wind makes the flags fly,
Day makes the sky light
The sun makes highlights and
Warms up the cool air."
While I sang and played along, everyone surrounded the living quarters. Some even went inside. This was strange because when this happened, the volume of the mellotron was almost in full blast and the keys started glowing a bright yellow. My voice was loud too, it attracted many pedestrians and people inside the living quarters. When I took my hands off the mellotron, it started playing by itself that I cannot get it to stop.Decorations of musical instruments played along with the mellotron. Maybe the mellotron is magical, I didn't know what its doing. Moments later, I heard a knock on my door and when I turned off the mellotron, nothing did not make a sound but the keyboard was still glowing and making music. I opened the door slightly to find an impressed old man. But shortly, all the instruments but the mellotron stopped playing and fell on the floor with a crash.
"Sorry sir," I replied.
"Sorry for what?"
"The volume was turned up and I stopped playing and soon, everything played by itself."
"The music is beautiful, I must host a concert at the theater for you. What do ya think?" he asked me.
"A concert for..."
"You!" He answered back when I try to reply.
"I'm not sure, but I'll try," I said.
This is how the mellotrons powers formed. But the thing is that, I must try to not make a person notice.
