It's been more than six years ... Thought Lexa while she was walking back to her little bunker with a deer on her shoulder she just hunted. She went past the place where once there was the village where she was born and from where she was taken to Polis to be trained to a warrior.

"Do I really have to go? Why can't I continue the training here? I have a great teacher." Looked up the five years old Alexandria at her father.
"You have to go. That's the rule and you know that. Let me be proud of you, daughter."
"You will be proud of me, father."
"Promise me, you won't forget that you are a warrior and a warrior has to make decisions with her head, not with her heart."

One of the scouts from polis, a woman went to Alexandria and her father.

"We are about to leave. The girl has to come." She said.
"She is going. Right?" Said the father and he took his hand on the little girl's shoulder.
Alexandria nodded and followed the young woman.

The woman led the girl to a white horse.
"This will be yours. I'm Anya. What's your name?"
"Alexandria"
"It's a long name for such a little girl. I'll call you Lexa."

Before leaving Lexa looked back into the eyes of her father and although the little girl wanted to cry she didn't even let a tear out

Before leaving Lexa looked back into the eyes of her father and although the little girl wanted to cry she didn't even let a tear out. And she said to her father: "I promise."
In that moment her father knew that one day people will look up at her and she will be a great leader.

Lexa became Anya's second. Anya taught her a lot. They trained every morning in the cold air, in the middle of the forest. Lexa became better at better by her side. She loved and admired Anya. Her mother died when she was born. Anya was the mother to her she has never had.
