Chapter 5

Brookes P.O.V

 I was pacing my kitchen and then Kevin walked into the room.

" Gosh, you've only been waiting for  20 minutes." Kevin said rolling his eyes. I walked away from him and sat on the stool in the kitchen.

KNOCK KNOCK!

I ran to the door as fast as i could and fixed my hair before i opened the door. I opened the door and it was a delivery man. "Really?" I said to myself. I grabbed the package and brought to the kitchen. I dont remember mom saying she had a package coming. I opened and gasped.

It was a box of chocolates and some roses. There was also a note in it. The note said:

Dear Brooke,

I'm sorry we couldn't do our date today. I wasn't exactly sure if you knew that we were doing it today. I didn't want to show up and you not being ready for the date but these are the things i would've given you if we did have a date. We should plan a date sometime. I would really enjoy going on a date with you

Nick

What just happened? Did Nick just say he would enjoy going out on a date with me. I've never heard of anything like that before. 

CLiCK!

I looked over at the door and my mom walked in. I quickly hid the box in the family room."Hey mom!" I say grinning.

"What did you or your siblings do?" She says when Kevin walks in the room.

"Nothing, they were sweet little angels." I smiled a fake smile. Then i heard my phone buzz.

From: Gracie <3

            How was your date night?? Mine was great with Kyle. He's the perfect boyfriend!!

To: Gracie <3

                     Nick didn't come but he sent me flowers and I got a note from him.

From: Gracie <3

               That's good i guess. I'll talk to you at school tomorrow.

After that i decided to go to bed for the night. I didn't feel like doing anything. I just hung up my dress and looked at it. I guess i shouldn't have counted on him coming. He did say see you tonight...

Oh what am i thinking he wouldn't have come if he was able to.

I got into pajamas brushed my teeth and climbed in bed. Right when my head hit the pillow i was asleep.

I woke up the next morning to my alarm clock. I rubbed my eyes groggily and hit the button on my alarm clock to  turn it off. I got up and changed into some jeans and sweatshirt with name of my school on it. I put on my converse and got my backpack and grabbed my phone and headphones.  I hopped down the stairs and into my kitchen."Morning Mom." I muttered.

"Well good morning to you too!" She laughed. I just rolled my eyes. I ate a bagel and ran out the door while yelling to my mom, "Bye mom! Have a good day!!"  

"You too!" She said waving.

I was at my bus stop and Rachel and Melanie were there."Well look who wanted to dress up for school today." They snickered.

 I ignored them and once the bus got here i ran in first cutting them off. I got in my seat and put my headphones in and listened to some songs by myself. Then Nick's stop came and i just stared out the window and he glanced at me, so i quickly looked down at my phone. He got on and went to his seat. I continued to look out the window. We got to school and everyone hopped off the bus and walked in school."BROOKE!!" Brianna yelled to me.

"Whoa! Brianna calm down!" I said patting her back.

"How was the date?" Gosh this is going to be a long day.

"He didn't come.." I said and walked away. Payton and I went our separate ways to our lockers. I opened up my locker and got my stuff for homeroom and walked in and put my chair down."Good morning Mrs. Colin's!" I said waving to her.

"Good Morning!" She smiled at me. I walked into the hallway and by Paytons locker.

 "Hi!" I said scaring her.

"DON'T DO THAT!"  She scolded me. I just laughed and walked into homeroom. I sat down and the annoucments came on that no one listens to. The second bell rang for first period. Today was band so i had my Saxophone in its band locker. Since i'm in high school i'm in Marching band. But it's not Marching Band season so i just have regular band and Jazz band right now. Nick is not in anything, he's not in choir or band so yea...

When i got to band i got my Saxophone out and ready to start a long day.
