"Ellie? I've never had that nickname before." I thought about this boy, Jack, on my way to find Malia at the concessions. He had the prettiest eyes, ones that you could get lost in.

"Hey Mal! There you are." I walked up to her and saw her chatting it up with a guy with beautiful tan skin and dark brown hair and eyes. "Who's this?"

"Jack, meet Elijah-Ray." I smiled and he extended out his hand. I placed my hand in his and he grabbed it and shook my hand.

"Nice to meet you Elijah-Ray."

"Call me Eli." He nodded. Malia handed me a water.

"I know you said you didn't want anything, but I got you a water anyways." I took it and opened the cap and took a long drink. I swallowed and placed the water on the counter.

"Thanks Mal, guess what? You're never gonna believe this, but I just met and talked to a guy and his name was Jack, too. We rode the Orbiter together." Jack looked up from his phone with wide eyes.

"Shit.." he mumbled. "Was he a little bit taller than you with blonde spiked up hair and greenish eyes?" I nodded. "He's gonna be so mad that I blew him off.." he pulled out his phone and then held it up to his ear, after a few seconds he turned around and leaned his back up against the counter.

"He-hey bro. I'm over by the concessions. I'll see you in a few. Okay, bye." He took the phone away from his ear and hit the lock button. He pocketed his phone and sat down.

"Jack's on his way." He said before turning to Malia. I felt awkward, so I excused myself to go to the bathroom. Malia and Jack number 2 were really hitting it off.

"Ellie?" I was caught off guard and jumped a little. Jack came running over to me.

"Long time no see?" He chuckled and I lightly nudged him.

"Jacky, you're an idiot," I said referring to his 'long time no see'. He quit smiling and looked at me seriously.

"You will be the only person that will ever call me Jacky. I hate it." He then laughed. "I can never stay serious for very long, but I am serious about the Jacky thing. You're the only one." I smiled and gave him a side hug.

"Here's to the start of a good friendship Jacky." He hugged me back and then let go. He then slightly stepped away.

"Hey, do you know where the concessions are?" He pulled out his phone from his pocket.

"Yeah, I was just over there. Speaking of, do you wanna hear something weird?" He looked up from his phone and gave me a confused look. He slightly nodded and held his phone down at his side. "I know why both of our best friends blew us off, they crossed paths and hit it off too."

He then laughed, "That's so weird! I guess either way we were destined to meet then." We high-fived each other and shared a giggle. "Wanna lead me to the concessions El?"

"Sure thing, Jackery. Follow me." I turned around and motioned him over. I started walking and he caught up to me and we walked side by side.

"Hey Ellie, would you and, uh.. uhmmm-"

"Her name is Malia, Jack." I attempted to give him a reassuring smile and he brushed it off. He nervously laughed and scratched the back of his neck.

"Would you and Malia like to accompany Jack and I at A&W and while we're there we can get to know each other?" He looked the opposite way, trying to avoid eye contact. You could tell the boy got shot down once or twice. It broke my heart.

"Jack?" He turned his head, but didn't make eye contact. "We would love to tag along with you guys." His face lit up and he flashed his pretty white teeth.

"Hey Mal. Hey Jack number dos." They both looked over at us. "Would you guys like to head out and go eat at A&W?" Both of their faces lit up as they nodded. They got up walked over to us.

"Wanna ride with us?" Johnson smiled, he looked so happy.

"How about you meet me at my house? I drove my jeep here and I would rather not leave it." I chuckled as I reached for my keys out of my back pocket. They nodded and we started walking towards the gate.

"I live down on lakeside road, so it won't be too long, just follow us." The Jacks turned towards each other. They then laughed.

"We live like two streets over at our house that we share." I mentally celebrated. Mal and I were about to have a fantastic summer.

We reached my car and Jacky complimented it. I thanked him and then climbed into the drivers seat.

"I'll meet you there?" He smiled and nodded and I shut my door. Mal squeaked.

"Eli this is the best idea you've had in a long time!!" I laughed. I started my car and turned on the radio. Thunder rumbled, which meant that they were gonna shut down the fair anyhow. I backed up and pulled out toward the exit and waited for the Jacks, so I wouldn't lose them on the way to my house. They pulled around the corner and they were cruising in a red convertible. The goofy ass boys still had the top down on it even though it was about to storm. Jack #2 pulled up right next to me. I rolled down my window.

"Lead the way?" I nodded and pushed the pedal down to the floor just to be an ass. My tires spun and kicked up dirt. I looked in my rear-view and they were laughing. I took off and they did the same. Their engine reved and they quickly caught up to us.

"Wow my jeep sucks." I said to Malia. She laughed and rolled down her window. The breeze blew threw my vehicle as we took a right turn to head towards my house. I took Thirteenth Street down until we hit Lakeside and I swung a wide left. The Jacks followed closely behind. I pulled off to the right and pulled into the driveway. The boys pulled off to the curb that was in front of my house and put their vehicle in park. I shut off the engine and opened up my door. I climbed out and shut the door. I walked down the driveway and Malia did the same.

"Hell-oooo pretty ma!" Jack said while he bit his lip when he saw Malia. She blushed and then giggled as she covered up her mouth to try and hide her smile. Jacky climbed into the left side of the back seat, so Mal could have the front next to Jack. She opened the passenger door and climbed in, while I just hopped over and into the car. I buckled my seat belt and Jack put it in drive and pulled away.
