Chapter 1

Tia's Pov

I wake up to my alarm going off at 6:15 a.m. I reach over to press the alarm. I sit up and rub my eyes. I look around my room to remember that today is the first day of school. I get out off bed and walk to bathroom to take a shower. After, I took a shower, I wrap the towel around me and brush my teeth.

I walked to my room and grabbed my lotion and sat on my bed. After, I finished I walked to my closet and picked out a simple but cute outfit for my first day back in school. While, I was getting dressed, my brother Ty barged into my room looking for something.

"Ummm excuse me can't you see I am getting dressed here" with annoyance in my voice.

"My bad Lil sis but I looking for Haily's blanket and last time I saw it, it was in here" while he is looking under my bed.

"Well, it's not in here I put it in the laundry basket yesterday" while I put my gray hoodie on.

"Oh...OK well thanks" Ty says making his way to the door.

"Yep no problem". I walked to my wall mirror and brushed my hair. My hair is long and brown, just like my mom's hair that's what my Nana would say. She would say I was her little mini-me.

After, I brushed my hair, I look at myself in the mirror one last time before I walked downstairs. I barely wear makeup but I thought today was a good day so I put a little bit of mascara on and a little bit of lipstick on. I check myself one last time, then I walked downstairs.

I walked downstairs into the kitchen. I see my Nana cooking breakfast on the stove and my Poppy reading the newspaper at the dinner table.

"Well good morning to ya" my Poppy said with his arms open wide. I walked up to him and gave him a hug.

"Good morning" I said with a big smile on my face. I love my Poppy he so funny and inspiring. He would always take me to Dairy Queen just for fun and watch movies.

"Good morning sugar, I made ya breakfast eggs and bacon" my Nana said while she walks over and gives me my plate and kiss on the forehead.

"Thanks Nana" I sat down next to Poppy and ate my food. It was so good, I love my Nana's cooking, her food would always make you feel good inside.

I was almost finished with my food when Tony and Kayla came in the kitchen arguing.

"Why are you walking away while I am talking to you Tony, it was just a simple question" Kayla said holding Bryon in her arms.

"Cause I don't wanna talk about it anymore Kay I'm tired" Tony said making two plates of food.

"You are always tired after I asked if you got Bryon's medicine" Kayla says while she is following Tony around the kitchen.

"But I did get his medicine" Tony say while he is sitting down at the table.

"But you never me told you did" Kayla says while put Bryon in his highchair.

Right before Tony could says anything, Nana interupted them.

"Ummmm y'all need to stop arguing around the baby is bad for him" Nana says trying to eat her food.

"I'm sorry Nana but---"Tony's apology was interupted.

"No "buts" y'all are parents now and y'all need to get it together" she said with a confident voice "also I'm tired of y'all fighting every morning it's getting on my nerves"

"I'm sorry Nana" Tony and Kayla said in together then they kissed each other.

Tony and Kayla always argue with eachother each morning. It would be about Tony forgetting something or him not telling her things. They got married when they were 19 and moved in last year when they were 20. Now, they are 21 and Kayla is worried that they would not last. I hope they do last and move out it's getting to crowded in this house.
