Chapter 1
" Mommy I'm going to playby the lake." I said " Ok Aurora, but be very carefull." my mother replied " Yes mam." Those were the firt words that started my obsession. I was six years old when I went to my family lake during a dark, summer night to chase and play with the frogs and I never was the same agian. I was underneath the dock chasing a frog through the pebbles and shallow water when I saw a sterling, white, glowing figure slowly falling from the sky in the reflection of the water. Right away I jerked my head up and watched it lightly crash on to the other side of the lake in the shallow end. I stood up and dashed off as fast as I could to where it was now barely floating. When I it I jumped in and ran through the water to where it now laid.
" Are you okay." I breathed heavily. By now I realized it was a she and she wasn't human at all. She was something only my fairy tale books talked about, a mermaid.
