The Community

✿ Night of the Ferals ✿

The night of the feral's was one of the worst nights for the community.
A single night — every full moon, the feral's of the community would go into.. well feral mode.
It was extremely dangerous to be outside or alone on these nights, you could be killed.
Most people of the community slept outdoors, and special underground bunkers were dug to protect them from the feral's.
Outsiders were forbidden to use these bunkers — so they huddled up in groups in trees or on the ground, a few people keeping watch.
You can either be born a feral, or be infected by a feral.
New members of the community don't know if they're a feral or not — the way they find out, is if they transform on the full moon.

The full moon glittered in the night sky, rising into the black as night canvas, dotted with stars.
The feral's in the community transformed — with screams of pain, being cut off and the screams turned into howls / growls / hisses and any other wild animal noises.

Once a man, with long black shaggy hair and dark brown eyes — now a ferocious black bear.
Once a beautiful woman with white blonde hair — now a killer snow leopard.
Once a poor outsider man with two tail, an alligator tail and a chipmunk tail — now a deformed hybrid of the two animals.

You see whatever animal blood the feral's have, is the animal they become on the full moon.

A large black bear snarled as it came into close range with an outsider laying in a tree — and with a blood curdling scream, the outsider fell to the ground with a thump.

Dead.

A few hours of screams and howls layer — the moon vanished, only to be replaced with the glowing yellow sun — laying in it's rays, were the bodies of the dead, and the feral's had vanished.

Because they were ashamed of who they were, monsters..

•So basically, feral's are like werewolves.
–Whatever animal blood they have inside them, is the animal they transform into.
