It was a mind-blowing issue she had to deal with. She realized that she had to do something with her life if she didn't want to end up somewhere in the back of some miserable tavern, between the trash cans. No, she couldn't transform over the night into the ruler of the world, but at least she had to find another job; One that was paid decently, so the money she would gather up would keep her life going. But one of the problems was that she tried to apply for twenty-six jobs in the last year, and she was not good enough for neither of them. Not physically strong enough, thanks to that freaking low immunity level of her body, not tall enough. Some people would just say that the job was given to somebody else, and some would tell her to go home without even looking at her face. She hated this kind of people. Those who think they're better than everyone else.

Each month, the rent was going up considerably. The landlord was a pain in the ass, so each time a couple of weeks passed, he was either banging on her door like crazy, or sending her tons of messages and e-mails. She had to find a way out of this.

Her fingers were tapping one by one against the kitchen table. She was resting her chin into the palm of her other hand as her left elbow pushed against the wooden table. She had long and slender fingers which contrasted against the red nail polish that she wore.

Everything about her hands, from her short nails to her thin and milky wrist, was saying a true story about her life. She was not the type who would work with her hands too much because she was more of the rational kind, she had a higher IQ than the average person.

She sighed and then she looked down toward the white cat that was sleeping soundly in her lap, then back up toward the empty chair that was positioned on the other side of the kitchen table.

For a brief second, amusement glinted in her eye and the corners of her lips twitched up in a sarcastic smile.

She blinked.

"You know, Snow-White…" she started saying, "Maybe I have another chance. I just need to find a rich man until the end of the month, seduce him and take all of his money, how does it sound?" She asked the cat on a low voice, and then she silenced herself for awhile as if she was waiting for the cat to respond to her question. No response came, the animal just slept. "I need to do this, or else we'll both be thrown into the street. " She spoke, her voice like an angel's chant, up in Heaven.

Green eyes stared aimlessly at the counter. She had a spark of intelligence in her eyes that could immediately convince a dozen people of her ability to solve every problem.

After she grabbed one of the newspapers from the pile that stood there long-forgotten on the table in front of her, she ushered the cat and got up.

Her phone was placed on the counter. She just needed to search again for the number she saw in the newspaper a few days ago.

Her hands passed over the phone numbers listed in a column delimited from the rest of the words by bold, black lines. Her forefinger ran over the grey paper freely until it froze under a red mark made by her. It was an 'X' that pointed toward a name. Adrian Reynolds.

Under the name appeared the description "Male, 27 years old. The owner of the famous R&C Enterprise. I offer 1.000.000$ in exchange for a cute, young lady that will keep me company."

She thought about it for a moment.

'R&C Enterprise? Famous my ass. But it doesn't matter as long as I get those money. The only problem is that I'll have to get used to the new style of living.'She chewed on her nail. Her face was blank. She stared at the counter without really seeing it.

'I have to convince him to meet me somewhere… Would he think I'm pretty?'

Her nerdy figure - thanks to her thick framed glasses and her unfashionable style of clothing - was making people banish her away from their lives. She was always having a hard time accepting herself. She tried everything, from haircuts to other glasses (since she couldn't really see without them, and the lenses wouldn't work), but it made no noticeable change.

Her heart was beating faster than before. She had to keep in mind that she was doing this in order to get the money. She had to pay the landlord, or else she'll get in a bigger trouble than she already was. Not to mention that her father's debts to the bank were huge, and they were out to get her since her father died a few years back. This… Adrian Reynolds was her last chance to survive.

Company meant not only cleaning and cooking. Hell no! With a million dollars that guy surely hired house maids and other staff members. But, even though she knew what was all about, she loved to try out new things. Hopefully, she wouldn't get involved in other dangerous actions, but despite that, it was all okay.

"It's worth trying." She sighed heavily.

She picked up the phone and dialed the black, underlined number that was next to the name.
