I grimaced as I heard the tell tale sound of heels come closer to where I was sitting. As soon as David told me that my Father wanted to see me he practically grabbed me by my hands and shoved me out the door. Outside were two bodyguards waiting for me.That's one of the reasons I hate going home. I always had to keep up the appearance that I wasn’t capable of disarming a man, kicking him in the balls and shooting him dead in less than ten seconds. Hence the bodyguards. I sighed. I couldn’t help it though. This was the cost of my life as an Agent. I didn’t really go on that many missions. My father made it quite clear to David that I would only be allowed on the one's where I might have a chance of gleaning information about Marco Skyler. I gritted my teeth. Damn that man. He ordered the assassination of my mother and my kidnap. Fortunately the F.B.I got there in time to save me but… My mother was killed five minutes beforehand….In front of me. When they tried to find him they failed. Miserably. It was like he had been wiped of the face of the earth he was so damn invisible! That’s why I became an Agent. I needed to know that my mother’s killer was either locked up or dead and… I couldn’t live in fear that he would do the same to me. I  had recurring nightmares when I was younger. That’s how I had managed to convince my father that I had to become a Spy. The sight of me in so much pain threw him off the edge and in a state of blind pity he promised me that I could become one. I’m not exactly  proud to say he’s regretted it ever since.

And that is probably why I am here. To be lectured on the fact that Princesses should not be Knife throwing, gun holding, ass kicking, and grenade popping Assassins. Oh. And the reason to why I am afraid of heels? Well you’ll find ou-“

“Rhea!”Squealed Kate as she sauntered towards me.”I haven’t seen you in so long! What happened? Are you okay?! Did you get shot! Oh My God If you got shot that would be so cool!! Like you would get a cast and we could all write on it!!” I rolled my eyes. Kate was really nice; in fact she was one of my best friends not to mention my cousin. We practically grew up together, But sometimes she would get a little too Overdramatic. I’m not saying I’m not dramatic! I mean When you’re an agent you practically live on drama It’s just…Oh I don’t know… She just get’s on my nerves sometimes. Especially when she talks so much! Maybe I’m just being jealous. We were compared a lot when we were younger and I always got the short end of the stick even though I was the Princess of Aerandria. She was always more Lady like. Prim and Proper. Gave the people what they wanted, A pretty face. Me on the other hand, I was more like the ‘Ride on a horse all day and fall in the mud’ kind of girl and when my mother died things  kind of spiraled out of control. To put it in a short way when I came into a state function Caked in mud from when I fell into the marsh trying to get my Soccer ball back, My father threw a fit and ordered me to be in Kate’s Presence at all times and learn from her on how to be a proper lady. Kate tried teaching me for a while but then she gave up and we had a pillow fight in her room and got punished by our Governesses. That was the day we became friends. So sure Kate annoys me a little but she’s a good friend and I rarely get to see her since she lives in Britain. I’ve always wanted that smexy British accent that she has.

I grinned ”Hi Kate.” She scowled.” We haven’t seen each other in Weeks and that’s all you say?!” “Well what do you want me to say?” I questioned her half laughing.” Never mind that” she said giving me a pained look.” What are you wearing!?” Another thing about Kate.

Fashion. Is. Passion.  I looked down at what I was wearing.”What’s wrong with it?”Black and white sneakers, Baggy Jeans and a plain white top. “You’re going around the castle looking like a Hobo that’s what it is!” She said frowning distastefully. “I’m just going in to see Dad!” I said trying to plead my case with the commander in chief of ‘Fashion Police’. She gasped shocked.Oh shit.”Your father is also the King of the vast land of Aerandria! The country in which you are heir!! What will the people think when they see their soon to be ruler walking about looking like she’s going to a Seven Eleven!” “They’ll think I’m going to a Seven Eleven “I said dryly. She ignored me and just continued “Rhea you must let me make you more presentable at least when you are under the scrutiny of the public!””And I’m not under their scrutiny right now Kate” I said calmly” But-“ She was cut short by Fred our Butler coming to me and saying” His Majesty the King asks you to enter, Princess Rhea” I have never loved Fred more than in that moment. I grinned and followed Fred inside making sure Kate saw me stick my tongue out at her. Childish. I know, but I’m only human.

I walked into the throne room casually. This place was my home and it had a relaxing affect on me. Crystal chandeliers covered the ceiling and armor of all kinds surrounded the walls, but right now I wasn’t looking at that. I was staring at the man in the middle sitting on the diamond entrusted chair. King Desmond of Aerandria. Father to the Princess heir. A.K.A me.

“Rhea” he said getting up and smiling. Somehow his smile seemed fake. I frowned. My father only smiled like that when he was hiding something from me.”Hello father.” I said narrowing my eyes “What do you want to speak to me about” He sighed. “Can a father not want to spend time with his daughter once in a while?” “Yes...”I said easily”But when that father is the King of his country, then no.” “God. Child…”He sighed “What in the world am I going to do with you?”At that he smiled a real smile, not fake like the last one. “Well on this occasion you are correct” He said icily. I smirked.”I have a task for you.” he continued. My heart stopped beating. Another mission? So soon? And directly ordered by the king! Is he actually starting to trust me now?  “I want you to go to the airport tomorrow.”He said while my eyebrows furrowed. “In terminal 6 Flight 891 will be a man wearing a… baseball cap and dark sunglasses. On his T-shirt there will be a badge of some sort. It’s a gold star surrounded in a circle. I want you to find him…and bring him to me. I’ll be waiting in the throne room.” As he finished, he quickly averted his eyes away from me. I barely noticed.I was so damn happy! Finally! My father trusted me with my job! He actually believes I can take care of myself! “I won’t let you down” I said confidently as I strode out of the room. Whoever this guy is, he’s going to have a shitty day tomorrow. I can promise him that.
