We got up at 9:15 and went to the kitchen to surprise Skylar but her and Scott was already up.
"We were going to make you breakfast-in-bed, mommy" Amanda told her Skylar. "But happy birthday. I love you."
"Happy birthday mom." Zach said giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Happy birthday, Skylar" I said.
"Thanks you guys. You are all so nice."
"Your welcome" We all said in unison.
"So how all do you guys practice that" Scott asked jokingly.
"About five seconds" Zach said as he sat down for breakfast. As we ate breakfast it was quiet until the phone rang.
"Hello" Skylar said when she answered. We hear a muffled answer.
"Yes we do. Why?" Another muffled reply. "Okay we will stop down there around one o'clock. okay?" Mumbled answer. "Alright bye"
"What was that?" Scott asked as Skylar hung the phone back up.
"The school calling about... you know"
She replied.
"Yeah okay" Scott said fast as he leaves the room. When he returns, his hands are behind his back, smile on his face. He walks behind Skylar's chair and puts a wrapped box on the table in front of her. "Happy birthday" he whispered in her ear. She unwraps the box, pulls out a pair of earrings, matching necklace and a gift card to Walmart for $150.
"Ok come on get ready" she says with a smile on her face looking up at Scott.
"Where?" He said confused.
"Walmart" she replies.
"Alright lets go" he said, shaking his head, smiling.
"Let me get dressed." She said picking up her earring/necklace set. Afterward they say bye and leave. Leaving me alone with Amanda and Zach.
