Griff's POV:
After the "hangout" with Zuri, we went to bed. I kept on thinking about her. Well, we are just "friends" because that's what she wanted ( sorry I didn't include that part). I went back to sleep.
(The next morning....)
Xander: Rise and shine campers!
Me: Ugh! Xander, it's still 6am! Go back to bed!
Jorge: Yeah! I'm still having a nice dream.
Xander: C'mon guys! It's the annual Camp Kikiwaka Camping Contest.
Ravi: Ooh! That sounds fun. Will there be partners?
Xander: Yeah. I have them right here.
Me: Ok. Be ready in a sec.
So I dressed up and I'm ready to know our partners.
Xander: Here are the partners:
Griff-Zuri
Ravi- Tiffany
Jorge- Lydia
Xander- Emma
After hearing the partners, I was so pumped because I'm partners with Zuri. But also sad because we're just friends.
Xander: Hey Griff! Why are you so bummed? Aren't you happy that you're partners with Zuri?
Me; Well yeah, but it's just......we're just friends. But I don't like it that way.
Xander: At least you're best friends.
Me: I guess you're right. What about you and Emma?
Xander: We're best friends too. But I'm also bummed.
Me: You and me brother.
Lou: Hey guys! The competition is about to start.
Me: We'll be there!
Xander: Let's go.
Me: Ok.
So we went outside and saw a lot of campers.
(Outside....)
Gladys: Hello everyone! Welcome to Camp Kikiwaka's Annual Camping Contest!
Everyone: Yay!
Gladys: You guys know the rules: don't cheat
Everyone: Ok.
Gladys: On your mark, get set.....GO!
So I ran to find Zuri.
Me: Zuri, wait up!
Zuri: Oh hi Griff!
Me: Hey! I think it's best if we walk instead.
Zuri: Yeah, good idea.
Me: So where's our camping spot?
Zuri: Near the lake.
Me: Ok.
(At the lake....)
Me: Let's get some branches and twigs for our shelter.
Zuri: Ok
We got a lot of branches and twigs.
Zuri: Let's also get some vines to make it secure.
Me: Good idea.
We got a lot of vines.
Zuri: Let's get to building.
Me:Ok
So we built our shelter and turned out great.
Zuri: That was fast.
Me: I know.
Zuri: Let's get some food.
Me: I saw some strawberries.
Zuri: Let's get it.
So we got the strawberries and put them in a basket.
Me: What do we do now?
Zuri: Let's rest first
Me: Ok. I'm really tired.
Zuri: Me too.
We rested and talked a lot. We had a great time. I got to know Zuri. Zuri got to know me better.
