In the last chapter...
..."I don't believe we met." you smirked. "What's your name ?"
"Ciel. Ciel Phantomhive."
..."My name is Julia (L/n). [...] Recently I had found out that I had family left, which revealed to be my cousin (Y/n)."
...As you were climbing up the stairs with many other people, three words were mysteriously whispered by someone unknown in your ear.
"We'll meet again."

Sinking slowly into the soft seat of your carriage, you leaned your head against the window and tried to look outside, drowsiness empowering your eyelids making them close against your will. You sighed peacefully as you finally allowed yourself to relax, as the days before were quite exhausting, signing multiple contracts and going abroad to assist to many meetings. With you at the head of your family's company since their departure to a better world, it was no surprise that you had to fulfill your duties, allowing work to steal away your social life and deprive you from sleep.
The few bumps among the road that the carriage inevitably hit would wake you up from time to time, but wasn't enough to keep you fully awake. Although those bumps were nothing like what was awaiting you ahead.
You were awoken for good as all the weight of your body was slammed against the wall you were currently leaning on, your face smooshed against the window. Slightly unhappy at the driver's sudden turn, you looked through the back window to try and get a glimpse of what could he have tried to avoid. Your eyes went wide and a gasp escaped your mouth as you stumbled on the floor, now stuck between the seat and the front wall. You now understood better the cries of the horses and your driver's weird driving.
In the middle of the road stood a dark and slim figure who was clearly settled on not moving an inch and even though it was dark outside, you swore you saw him looking straight at you.
In other words, it was a demon.
And he was not the only one. Now fully awake, your senses came back to you as adrenaline poured into your veins, not able to stop the goosebumps from appearing all over your skin. You felt those monsters surrounding you from everywhere. On the road, in the trees, on the top of the few houses you passed by, beside the road, on the roof of the carriage, all of them running after one same thing that you only owned... wait, the roof ?
Knitting your eyebrows in annoyance, you placed your hands on the seat and gave yourself a push to get off the floor. Landing on the seat, you rushed over to a window on the side and without really thinking, opened it. You felt the presence above shift from where he was towards the window. Another sharp turn propelled you at the other side of the carriage, allowing you to see the horrific face of the demon that had appeared into the frame of the window and that was currently making its way in. Letting out a scream, you violently kicked him into his face, slamming your heel right between his eyes. Naturally, with his grip on the carriage now gone, he lost his balance and fell on the ground, the sharp heel of your shoe probably still stuck into his head as the (f/c) accessory was nowhere to be seen into the vehicle. You scrambled to get yourself together and managed to close the window right before a demon got in, resulting in its face slammed into the glass. A feeling of disgust made you look away, your hand resting itself gently on your heart, feeling it about to burst out of your chest. It was beating way faster that he should but seemed to calm down as the carriage approached the city, the demons apparently having some reservation to attack in towns since you felt their presence reducing by the second.
