Chapter Three

Mystic Falls

Finally, we had arrived in Mystic Falls. I just couldn’t wait to find out if there are any Original vampires here. Although, I must admit, I am slightly hesitant to this because will I really go through will offering my gene? It just seems so…Awkward… Then there’s also the fact that they might not even want my gene and I’ll just become their next meal. Even though my parents might try, they are no match for a thousand year old vampire. Actually, let me correct myself. They are no match for thousand year old vampires and a Hybrid. Yes, a Hybrid. I did my research and found out that he is half vampire, half werewolf. How strange. For all I know, I could be a hybrid. You know, a bit of a vampire, witch…Could being a bit of human count? Or would that just count as my witch side? Ugh, this is so confusing…

I groaned loudly as I yanked my suitcase up the staircase of our new house. It was so damn heavy for a stupid suitcase.

“Do you want any help Honey?” My mother asked me as she effortlessly pulled up three of her suitcases up the stairs. Yes only three of the many. I brought two with me. But she brought six!

"I'm fine mum." I called back as I continuted to struggle with my stupid suitcase, "Thanks anyways!"

"Oh and we are going to vist your fathers sister and her daughter after this!" She shouted back just as I was got to the top of the stairs. Wait...Dad has a sister?

"Dad has a sister?" I exclaimed incredulously. Since when? And why had I never heard of them?

"Oh yes!" My mum replied back as if she hadn't heard the disbelief in my tone, "Elizabeth Forbes and her daughter Caroline Forbes!"

Oh...Well...

I quickly yanked my suitcase into my room as I was actually excited to meet my cousin. I never knew I even had a cousin...Well thats slightly sad...

I layed my suitcase against the wall and lifted my eyes up to check out my room. It was a simple room with a large double bed and a desk for my laptop. It was painted light blue to match the duvet and curtains. Over all, it was pretty nice. I mean, since my parents could admit what they were, I found out that they were actually incredibly rich...So I was bought a laptop instead of that crap, slow, computer and a king sized double bed. In the corner of the room there was a blue sofa and at the opposite side of it, there was my wardrobe. My room was much bigger than last time and more beautiful.

"Come on Bella!" Charlie shouted from down stairs, "We're going now!"

I smiled. I think I would just love Mystic Falls.

"Coming Dad!"

Around ten minutes later we arrived outside of a large towering house. The house looked elegant yet it didn't fit the image of my aunt. From what I've gathered, my aunt is a Sheriff, shes petite and she has cropped blonde hair. I inwardly shrugged. I shouldn't judge what I haven't seen.

I watched my dad silently as he knocked on the door to Elizabeth Forbes house. Within seconds the door was slammed open causing my father and I to flinch. My mother on the other hand didn't even blink.

There stood a bubbly blonde girl around my age with the widest smile on her face I had ever seen.

"Bella!" She exclaimed as she swiftly pulled me into her arms.

"Uh..." I mumbled out against her neck. I asume that this is my cousin, Caroline. She seemed to be...the exact opposite of me....I wonder if we'll get along?

Sensing my discomfort, she releases me from her death grip and gives me an apologetic look but still wears a large smile.

"I'm Caroline, your cousin!"
