Chapter 2

Jenna's POV

 After the movie we watched, my mum came home. I saw Maya sleeping in my arms so I woke her up for dinner.

"Latisha are you going to eat with us?" My mum asked her.

"I think so Miss. Davidson. Is that okay with you?" She replied and turned around in the sofa.

"Yes ofcourse dear! And please call me Audrey."My mum smiled sweetly at her. She always adored Latisha. "I'm sorry Miss. Davi-... Audrey."

Maya and I walked to the kitchen and grabbed some plates and utensils. "What are we eating mummy?" Maya asked.

"Just some pizza May. I am feeling a bit lazy today."Mum said in her thick Australian accent. My accent was a mix between Australian and British because my father is British. I could never remember my father, he just walked out on us. I was just 6 years old when he was home, packed his stuff and walked away.

Flashback~~ 11 years back~~

 It was a saturday morning and my mum was working while my dad was cleaning the house. Well... I thought he was. I was playing happily with my favorite barbies and horses when I heard my dad walking down the stairs with something heavy in his hands, I could hear that by the way he walked down the stairs.

Putting my barbies down I opened my door and got down stairs.

"Daddy!" I said in my usual happy voice. But that changed when I saw him with bags around him putting his shoes on. "Dada? Where are you going" He motioned to come to him. "Daddy is going to leave for a few weeks"He said with wattery eyes.

"Why daddy?" I saw a tear roll down his cheek. "I have to Princess" He said using my nickname he always called me.

I started to softly cry, tears streaming down my face. I was always sad when one of my parents were leaving for a few days or weeks.

"But... But I don't want you to go."I said looking down at his hands now holding mine."I don't want to either but daddy has done awful things. Always remember that you are my beautiful Princess" He said smiling.

"Together forever?"I asked almost sobbing.

"Together forever my little Princess" My dad said and hugged me tight, kissing my forehead, grabbed his stuff and walked away, not looking back. Leaving me there, standing alone, nobody home, just me. I sat down on the ground and started to cry and waiting for my mummy to come home. I always did that, waiting till somebody came to comfort me...

That was the moment that my dad left me, alone with my mother.

Now~~

Tears sprung in my eyes but I fought them back. I never liked crying, that makes you look weak but I didn't want to look weak, I wanted to look like I didn't care that my dad left me. "Jenna, are you okay?" I heard, snapping me out of my trance. "Yeah, I'm okay, just thinking. " I said using my usual fake smile. 

We ate some pizza and cleaned our plates. I picked Maya out of her chair to bring her to bed. "C'mon little bunny. Let's get you to bed"I said to a yawning Maya, she just nodded letting me carry her.

Maya grabbed her pyjama's as I made her bed. "Jenjen?"Maya asked putting her pyjama's on. "Yes Maymay?" I replied."Can you sing me a song?" "Ofcourse, what song?"I asked. "Cannonball? I like that song."She said laying down and grabbing her Bunny. "Okay May"

There's still a little bit of your taste in my mouth

 I didn't sing the whole song because I already knew she was asleep. She turned around and I kissed her temple walking away. When I got downstairs I didn't see Latisha nor my mum.

"Mum?! Latish?!" I yelled searching for them. Maybe they were in the study room? I walked to the studyroom and saw them sitting there, watching something on the computer.

It looked like a youtube clip, then I heard some singing from a girl. The girl was singing Cannonba-... WAIT A SEC. That sounds like me! Oh no... They didn't, did they? 

I walked closer to them and saw the clip. They filmed me, singing to my sister.

"Mum, why did you film me?!" I Shouted making Latisha and my mum jump."Oh Jen, you scared us!" Latisha said.

"Did Maya fell asleep?" I sighed angrily. "Don't change the topic!" I snapped at her. "Jenna don't be like that!" My mum scolded standing up, walking over to me.

"You are a very good singer JenJen! Everybody needs to know that."She said now with my hands in hers. I never knew my voice was that good, everybody said it was okay and not that great.

"And look at the views!" Latisha exclaimed. I looked at the views, seeing that it already has 1.423 views. "Woah, that's a lot.... Just after 7 minutes" I was quite confused about the views, there was just one question running through my head.

Was I really that good?

 "I'm going home. Thanks for the food Miss Davidson!" Latisha said and let herself out. "Call me Audrey!" Mum yelled through the window. "Okay! Bye Audrey and Jenna!" She yelled back.

"I'm going to sleep mum" I gave her a kiss on her cheek. "Goodnight" Mum hugged me and said a "Goodnight" back.
