My theory is that the man who walked out of Lumeneria is actually Sophie's father, which I neither have any evidence to back up, nor have very much logical reasoning for, making it slightly idiotic, but nonetheless, I figured I'd put it in.
Purple_Writer_ - "My idea is that Kenric's brother is her dad, that's why Kenric was so nice to her. And someone from Grady's side of the family was her mom, so that's why she looks so much like Jolie. Like, they might be cousins"
Additionally from Purple_Writer_ -
"My theory is that neither Brant nor Jolie actually died. What if Brant was her dad?! And Forkle lied about Jolie being her mother?!"
But according to FitzroyVacker -
"But they know each other. Her parents don't even know each other- so that isn't possible. Also, if Brant's her father, she'd be a Pyrokinetic. And a Conjurer. We need to take her problems into account of parental choices."

"What she looks like really doesn't matters or her abilities, since she was changed by the Black Swan, but if appearance did matter, then knew of her parents would have to be human or of human descent because of genetics and stuff with her eyes. And if they had a core ability they built off of, I bet it would be telepathy, then she could have some kind of telepath. But I kinda doubt that happened... Mine's way off (-;"
And I additionally know that some people believe that Mr. Forkle lied, and he actually was her dad.
I also have a nagging thought in the back of my head that's saying "What if it's Bronte?"
