The soldiers ran after me with their guns but I was faster. They could easily shoot me but they wouldn't because I was wanted alive. I was trained for this; to be fast, quick. I was trained to be as invincible as a human could be. I didn't dare look behind me. Instead I trusted my ears and other senses to hear their footsteps pounding behind me. They kept up good and I know too that they were trained to get me, just like I was trained to run and fight better than them. I kept my eyes fixed on the horizon. In a few more feet was the buildings ledge and I would have to jump if I wanted a chance for life. It was a long shot but I would have to.
Three. Two. One.
I jump.
