I can't believe you were interested in me since the beginning. You really are a crazy alien, aren't you?

MISAKI COULD HEAR HIM SILENTLY TRAILING BEHIND HER.
She could also feel him staring straight at her, despite the fact that her back was completely turned away from him. Images of that day kept replaying in her head, and she kept trying to convince herself that she was just overreacting about the whole thing.
Before she had even walked into the office, Misaki was confident that she could show her superiority to the new student to make sure he wouldn't act up like the other students had usually done so. However, as soon as she saw his face, and the moments after the horror struck of the realisation that he was the same boy that she had embarrassed herself in front of a while ago, everything came crumbling down.
After their first encounter, Misaki reassured herself that she could never meet the same stranger again. But as soon as that anxiety faded, he suddenly appeared out of thin air.
I'm such a fucking social mess, she scolded herself.
Misaki had given him a full tour of the school, no words exchanged between them whatsoever, the only speech being her announcing to him about what department they were in. Currently, her prime goal was to avoid any unnecessary talk with him. To her, it was the best idea she could have come up with at that moment. She was leading him to his new classroom, which to Misaki's dismay, was her own classroom.
Grimacing, Misaki regretted the fact that she was so confident that she wouldn't have to speak to him again, after that embarrassing encouter in the solitary street - but here she was, alone with him, walking in the halls of the school that they would both share for the next two years. To anyone, that would definetly not be the ideal situation to be in.
Looking up, Misaki saw that they had arrived at class 2-2. She heard him stop right behind her.
Gulping, Misaki reluctantly turned around to meet his eyes, and kept an unfazed expression on her face, although inside of her, every fibre of her being was screaming, trying its best to convice her to run away in the opposite direction."We're here." That was all she said. Misaki was scared that if she spoke more, or if he tried to engage in a conversation with her, her anxiety would bubble up to the surface and she would be completely exposed to a stranger.
To anyone that didn't know Misaki, it would seem ridiculous to be so affected over one meeting. But to her, any social situation, no matter how causal they would seem or how calm she would seem, they terrified her. And she had no idea why.
Misaki turned to open the door, but he spoke up, making her freeze.
"Wait."
Misaki turned to him once again in annoyance, but mostly fear which she skillfully hid, and replied, "What?"
Narrowing her eyes slightly, Misaki tried to see what it was that made her so uncomfortable around this boy. She knew that she had already embarrassed herself in front of him, but there was a mysterious feeling surrounding him that she just couldn't put her finger upon.
Probably because he's male, honestly, she thought. She noticed how sexist that sounded, but Misaki had too many experiences with men, that ruined her whole view on them - no matter how hard she tried to get rid of it. Time and time again, she tried to tell herself all men are not like them but everytime she encountered a male student at her school that caused trouble for the female students, which was quite often, she couldn't help the faith slowly being lost in men.
Shoving the thoughts away, Misaki looked him straight in the eye. There's no point in running away. But her thoughts on the surface were contradicting her anxiety's thoughts.
"Why did you think I was sad that time?" he questioned casually, leaning against the wall beside the classroom door, oblivious to the insane thoughts running through her mind.
Eyebrows raised in confusion, Misaki stared at him.
And then it dawned on her.
Cheeks becoming tinted with red, Misaki snapped her head back to the door and starting glaring at it.
"I don't know, maybe because you looked like you would cry in the middle of the pavement?" she replied harshly. She made a face at the pathetic comeback, but it was the least she could do in the emotional state she was in at the moment.
Sliding the door open a little to forcefully, Misaki angrily stomped into the classroom.
Immediately, all eyes turned to her.
Attention. All on me.
Bowing her head slightly, in order to hide her embarrassment, Misaki apologised to the teacher and informed him about the new student, trying to keep her voice as steady as possible.
If she turned around, she could see the hint of surprise but mostly amusement in his eyes.
And if she stayed outside just a moment longer she could have heard him mumble.
"Interesting."
