The New Boy

Chapter 1

Emily's Pov

My alarm was blaring. The song was Say something by A Great Big World. I turned it off and rolled over and looked at the clock. 7:01, "Shit I am going to miss the bus on my first day!" I got up as fast as I could and pulled out my uniform,which hasn't been touched since the end of last year and pull it on. I switched on my hair straightener and ran into the kitchen to have breakfast. I chuck some cornflakes and milk into a bowl and ran back to my room. I quickly straightened my hair out while eating my breakfast at the same time then my dad calls from outside, "Hurry up Emily or you will miss the bus!" I brush my teeth, take one last look in the mirror, "man I look shit today" and grab my bag, kiss my mum goodbye and jump in the car.

When we reach the bus stop the bus is all ready there waiting. So I quickly say see ya to dad and leap out the door and jump on the bus. When I get to my seat I slump down with a sigh and pull out my headphones and iPod to jam out to some tunes. None of my friends catch the bus in the mornings so I am usually left lonared but I don't mind it gives me time to myself.

Finally we pull up to school and everyone is eager to get off the bus and see there friends who they haven't seen in a while.

As I walk down to main drag to find my friends most people say hi to me. Some people think I am popular I just think it is cause I am a nice person.

Soon I spot Kyle and run up to him. He pulls me into a big bear hug, I all ways have thought of him as my older brother and nothing more and nothing less. " I haven't seen you In ages Emily! I have missed you so so so much!" he basically screams. "haha I have missed you too bro it is so sick to see you again! so where is everyone else?" I questioned. " I think they should be here soon... speak of devil here they are now!"

I turned to see Sophie, Renee and Courtney walking towards us with huge smiles on. The same sort of greetings go around but when I give Courtney a hug she whispers in my ear " I heard there is a new guy at school and I think he might be your type!" she pulled away and winked.

Courtney has been trying to get me a boyfriend for some time now because I haven't really had a solid relationship yet and I am 15 for god sakes!

"Ha sure." I say jokingly

"You never know I have heard he is quite hot." There she goes with the wink again.

We all sat down and share what we did in the holidays.

Courtney went to the beach, Sophie went to Aussie, Renee stayed home and Kyle stayed in Auckland with some family. Then there's me I just stayed home all holidays and read books, watched movies and went for swims at the local water hole, nothing exciting at all.

Soon after we finished catching up the bell rung. We all groaned and grumbled our way to the hall where we would get told who our form teachers are for the year. I was kinda nervous to find out my teachers cause I didn't want them to be bad.

Once everyone had taken a seat and quietened down the deans began to read the classes out.

"The class who was 10re last year is 11re this year."

Soon it was just my class left, "and finally the class who was 10TR last year is 11TR this year."
