My new phone goes ping
It's my friends who are trying to ring
But I leave open the line
In hope you'll call in time
But you never do
Yet you apologise as if on que.

My new clothes are on trend
Your credit card they did bend
My friends jaws may drop
But I'm distracted by your top
For it smells like you
It makes me feel safer than all others do.

Restaurants every night straight for a week
My friends think I'm at my peak
I have everything they've dreamed of
Except your love.

For once your gone
My phone dies
My clothes grow ragged
And I have no restaurant memories
For another year.

You leave me alone and vunreabel
They may think I have it all
But I never will because I'll never have you
Money can buy distractions but not a dad.
See you next year papa john.
