"Have you guys seen Lia?" Alex questioned, peeking around. He didn't see his best friend, but quite frankly the love of his life, anywhere.

"Haven't seen her, sorry man." Zack frowned.

"Me either." Rian shrugged, also at a loss for what else to do. Alex had already searched the whole venue, which was rather big. He really needed her here. She promised she'd come, and nothing had changed since this morning. Where was she? They were going on in 10 minutes. Alex didn't think he could do this without her here. He needed her. He always did.

Sadly, Lia was stuck in traffic. She was still about 5 minutes away, but at the rate the traffic was going she wouldn't make it there in 10 minutes. She promised. Of course she was late, trying to get ready to the max so she cold impress Alex. She always wanted to. She never thought she did, though. He never showed any emotion towards her, not that he favored what she wore. Did he even think she was pretty? Yeah, everyone thinks their best friends are gorgeous, but did he ever think of her as more of a friend like her? All she could do was hope. Finally, Lia pulled out of traffic and parked down the road from the venue. She began to run to the place. She had her V.I.P. card out and ready so they'd let her in. She had to get there before they went on. She had to. She quickly ran to the guy who stood outside the door, she presented her lanyard and he let her through as she dashed on. She ran until she saw Alex and the rest of the guys, getting ready to go on. She saw the look on Alex's face. Her trying to win him over, this definitely wasn't helping her situation. In her standpoint now, she felt like a terrible friend. She ran, wrapped her arms around his neck and squeezed him so tightly.

Alex grinned to himself and turned to face her. He grabbed her waist and pulled her against him. He then wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. "I'm so sorry, I got caught in traffic." She whispered into his ear.

"It's okay, I'm just glad you're here." He almost squeezed the light out of her.

"I'm so excited to watch you." She replied. He pulled away and took in her appearance, head to toe. She noticed he was doing so. She awaited his reaction.

"God, you look gorgeous Lia." Alex didn't care how straight-forward he sounded in that moment, he was just so ecstatic to see his best friend. Even if he did wish he could called her his girlfriend.

She blushed, feeling amazing that she finally got Alex's attention. The guys knew about their liking for each other, but not knowing it. They never said anything, the decided to let it come naturally. They all grinned as they heard Alex's remark. "Thanks, Alex. You always look handsome yourself."

Alex swooped her into a hug again. "I'm so glad you're here, I have seen you in a month. Tour is great and all but it sucks to be away from family and people like you."

"I know, but it's okay. We always get to hang out afterwards. Now, go out there and rock it. I'm so excited to watch." Lia grinned at him.

"Okay, I hope you enjoy it." Alex grinned back. He hugged her once more, quickly. He kissed her cheek gently and ran on stage with the guys. Alex kissed Lia all the time, on the head. Not on the cheek. Sometimes Lia thought Alex might like her, but she was too afraid to say anything in fear of potentially ruining what they had now. She watched the four best boys she knew perform their hearts out on stage. It was truly incredible. She had been looking forward to this day since Alex told her about the tour, and how they'd be stopping in Baltimore and he wanted her to attend. Of course she said yes. Now, here she was watching them live the only dream they've ever wanted. In a venue full of hundreds of people. So many fans. They made it, their dreams came true. Lia couldn't think of anyone who deserved it more than them. Besides, they did it best.

Eventually, the show ended. They ran off the stage, sweaty. Alex tackled Lia into a hug, to which she yelled. "Get off me!" She laughed. "You're so gross!"

"I love you." He stated. The boys' ears pipped up.

"I love you too, Alex." She smiled, confused as to why his face was more than serious.

"No, I really love you. Tonight, when I played A Daydream Away, I remembered why I wrote it about you. I said I'd watch from a safe place but I can't do that anymore. I can't because I love you, and I have for years. They say to marry your best friend, and that's exactly what I intend on doing. I've loved you for years, Lia. I love you." He grabbed her hands.

She stood there, starring at him. Now, he was beginning to fear her reaction. "I love you too, Alex. I really do love you. You wrote that song about me?" She asked.

"Y-you do?" He stuttered, stunned.

"Of course I do, Alex. I'm surprised you couldn't tell. I thought it was rather obvious." She blushed.

"I thought me liking you was obvious too." He grinned that beautiful smile that Lia first fell in love with Freshman year.

"I don't know, maybe now that I know you do it was a little." She chuckled. He smiled at her as she laughed, like music to his ears. He then leaned in, and finally kissed her lips. It was like they were made for each other. Neither of them had ever had a more perfect kiss. It was like they had found the two pieces to their puzzle. And they had.

"Marry me, Lia Turner." He whispered as he rested his forehead against hers.

"Really?" She asked, surprised by his sudden outburst. It was as if she were in a dream. She pinched herself, when Alex wouldn't seem to notice, to see if she were awake. She very well was.

"Yes, really." He said. "It only seems fitting, we've been in love with each other for years now. We deserve this. I've only ever wanted you, Lia. For 15 years now."

"Me too."

"Then marry me." He whispered.

"Okay, I do."
