Sin.

His father's words swam through His ears. A pain in His heart that just wouldn't go away. This was all He could think about when He reached for Alex's hand at the park. He quickly pulled away and put His hands in His pockets.
"Are you ok?" His boyfriend asked, concerned.
"Yeah, Yeah i'm fine." He responded, looking at the ground.
"You know you can tell me if somethings bothering you." Alex assured, not believing him.
"Yes, i know. Look, I gotta go, I have lots of homework and stuff."
He excused himself and left the park.
"oh." He didn't know He was hurting Alex too.
--
He arrived home and went straight up to His room. Disregarding His mother's questions about where He was. It was quite late after all. His father just kept his eyes on the television. 'Of course he doesn't care about me.' He thought.

Silence.
He loved listening to it.
It's painful, but relieving as well.
It's difficult to explain.
--
He woke up to the sound of his alarm clock, not remembering falling asleep.
"Ugh" He groaned, remembering it was a school day. Another day of judging stares. Another day of people whispering in the hallways. Another day of hell.
He got up and got dressed for school. 'I'm not hungry' He told himself. He believes it.
He walks to school that day, forgetting a jacket and mentally cursing himself for screwing up again, seeing His breath go up in white puffs.
He walks through the front doors of his school, immediately regretting coming as everyone stops talking and stares at Him. He takes a deep breath.
'Here we go again. You got this.' He tells himself, not quite finding comfort in his own words.
--
Alex runs up the sidewalk with a smile.
"Hey! I missed you!" Alex is glowing.
"Hey" He's just dark.
"Ugh i hate school, its so annoying, right?"
"You have nooo idea" He responds
They were crossing the road when He looked to the left, immediately pushing Alex to the other side as he held his breath. Head lights coming into view.
"ASHTON!" Was the last thing He heard. Finally, the pain was gone.
