Darkened in Loneliness
~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~
WARNING: dark ending.
A single glance would make me faint
I've found the truth; here's my complaint.
Every word you said would knock me down
All those times you took me 'round town.
I'd even drop a hint or two
but know you're not the guy I knew.
I even witnessed you flirting with her.
I thought true love had no cure?
Maybe what we had wasn't enough.
Too bad. I didn't think it was rough.
Now you're "dating" that other girl
Just seeing her hold you makes me hurl.
You said you'd never leave me
But I'm wondering why.
you never told a blatant lie.
Maybe I wasn't good for you.
whatever, you weren't perfect too.
Now I'm cold, envying and staring
hope this one helps you catch your bearings.
Did you know she was dating someone yesterday?
Oh wait. You don't pay attention when you play.
Play with toys, not hearts.
Actually, you pierce them with darts.
Oh, look at that.
You "snapped her heart in half."
I bet you don't even remember her.
You came back to me restless.
You made the wrong guess.
I'm the strong one.
I'm not going back with you now.
No, I'm not crazy.
Don't call me baby.
I bet you pull that name around the street.
Oh, how I miss you.
Ha! I despise you.
God, you're such a leach.
You attach onto people, unwanted.
Kind of like a post it,
except you've lost all your stick.
Walking away now.
Jerk! "Good riddance."
and this is when I shut him out.
It's cold all alone.
Don't want to talk on the phone.
Darkened eyes, darkened hair.
Darkness everywhere.
Can't you see?
The darkness...
It's swallowing me.
