"God damn it, he'd said he'd be here!"

Laurence clutched a travel umbrella as rain poured from the open top ceiling of the train station, he had gone out of town for the week to see Cadenza and help out his mother. He had asked Garroth to pick him up, even though Garroth was known for being horrible with keeping times straight when it came to this sort of thing, Laurence had asked anyway.

Laurance, long hair stuck to the sides of his face, rolled his eyes at his choice. As he looked around, he saw a red car driving through the rain, it slowed, then stopped in front of him. Garroth waved from inside.

As Laurence slipped in, shaking his hair dry, Garroth pulled away from the station.

"I'm sorry about being late buddy!" Garroth said, turning to the freeway.

"Hey, it's alright, I almost thought you have given out on me" Laurance grinned, he looked out the window at the wet, blurry, green grasslands. It looked like a painting, all dripping with heavy colours.

Garroth turned left into town, "Oh! Did I tell you the Travis and my baby brother are getting married?" He gushed like a fangirl.

"Oh really?" Laurance said, half worried that Garroth might crash the damn car if he didn't stop giggling over his brother's marriage.

Then Garroth got quiet, he turned left this time and the view of the house came into sight.

"Father wants to hold the wedding in Okasis, like any other Ro'mave event he says, but I know what he's doing, he's going to get us both in the same room then try to get one of us to become his successor."

Garroth growled and gripped the wheel as they slowed in front of the house, Laurence sighed then, grabbing his backpack, he jumped out of the car and ran inside behind Garroth, both laughing at the rain and the fact that they had both forgotten the umbrella in the car.

"And Mom insisted on taking this home with me!"

Laurence slammed a hotpot down on the kichen counter, both Dante, Garroth, and Travis all let out an "ooh" as Laurence opened the lid to reveal an array of spicy home cooked food. Zane was also eyeing the steaming piles of cheese and red sauses, Travis licking his lips as Laurence expertly spooned a mass of beans, rice, and enugh cheese to kill a horse, onto a plate, handing it to a drooling Dante. Everyone knew that Ms. Zvahl's cooking was the best on earth, anything from her could probably stop a war.

Zane greedily snached his plate up, his gold band ringing with light, and snarfed the intire thing down, burping loudly. Dante and Travis both fell off the kichen stools they were sitting on. Zane laughed too, him having long since taken off his mask, his face, freckles and all, on display. He had become much more open and happy after he had proposed to Travis. He had stopped wearing his mask, talking more, stopped being so negative and emo all the time, and, to Garroth's happiness, finally talked to his brothers. He had even stopped wearing his radically different types of clothes, preferring plain dark tee-shirts instead of the complex jackets he wore. Travis had once said that it was,"easier to take off", making Zane light up like christmas had come early.

Garroth ate as he stared at Laurence serving Travis for the third time, then Dante for the fourth. Zane had over stayed his welcome at Yummy Food Station and was laying his head on the table, content. Garroth finished and stood up to put his plate in the sink, but Laurance stopping him.

"Leave that there, I'll be doing the dishes tonight," He said taking the dish and grinning, he walked to the sink, rolling up the sleeves of his button up shirt. Garroth shrugged, and turned only to bump into Zane.

"Can I, um if you want to, I don't have to if you don't wa-" He stammered, even though he had come out of his dark and sarcastic shell, he still had trouble asking for thing of other people.

Garroth had cut him off, "what do you need, spill it" Zane grinned, pushing his black hair out of his eyes.

"Can you, uh please, um drive me to the salon for work, Travis is going to a meeting in the city and I can't walk there, and your my only option." Zane rolled his eyes and smiled hopefully, Garroth smiled as well.

"Well of course I can baby brother!" Garroth said, "When do you need to go?"

"Tomorrow, Travis is leaving tonight, so you better not mess this one up." Zane said, a little of his iconic moodiness never really leaving him. Garroth turned to the sink and walked up to Laurance.

Laurance was humming as he washed the plates and forks, somethings muttering to himself about how he needed to get the washing machine fixed. Garroth sneaked up behind him and slammed his hands down onto the man shoulders. Laurance jumped almost dropping the plate he was scrubbing.

"Dude, not cool!" Laurence yelled, playful batting him away. The front half of his shirt was drenched in water, sticking to his front side. Everything was outlined, his chest, his six-pack, his prominent v-lin-

Garroth shock his head, blushing. Laurance looked confused then undid his shirt, Garroth almost fainted. As he want to put his shirt into the laundry and get a new one, Garroth ran upstairs to reflect on want the hell that was.
