"You want me to what?"

Garroth and Laurence stared at each other, both blushing madly. Garroth had told him of the plan he had in the car, causing Laurence to look like he was about to faint. Garroth didn't know what that was about, probably the fact that if anyone was asked the same question they would look the same.

"I want you to go with me to one of those parties my father throws with me so I don't have to dance with anybody else" Garroth said, mentally crossing his fingers.

"Uh," Laurence looked dumbfounded, "I, uh, sure! I'll go with you, I'll have to get some new dress clothes though."

"Oh that's ok, I've got it all planed out" Garroth giggled, and waved at the doorway, Katelyn can waltzing in, her eyes beaming.

"So I hear you're in need of some new clothes?" She said, "Well never fear, for I am here! We'll get you an outfit and possibly some stuff for the big cosplay thing we're planing!"

Garroth smacked his forehead, he had forgot about the whole thing, all he had was a couple of pieces of the metal part and the cape. Maybe he could, "Hey guys, I forgot that I need some stuff for my costume, can I tag along?"

Without hesitation, Laurence practically yelled, "YES YOU CAN- uh, sure, you can come", they stared at each other again, blushing madly, Katelyn was grinning uncontrollably in between them, knowing what was up.

"Well," she said, breaking the awkward silence, "Let's get going!"

_______________

Laurence was pooped, they had been shopping for hours now, first to get costume supplies and now to get his new clothes for this fancy party Garroth wanted him to go to. Even if the thought of him going with Garroth to an exclusive event made his heart skip a beat, he still had doubts.

Katelyn dragged him out of his thoughts, "Hey! Are you ok in there? Come out!"

Laurence sighed, then quickly threw on the brown suit jacket that was laying on the bench. He opened the door to the stall, and walked in front of Garroth and Katelyn. As Katelyn nodded in approval, Garroth looked like his face was about to burst into flames. Laurence sheepishly stuffed his hands in the pockets of the dress pants Katelyn had picked out for him. The only problem was that Laurence felt off in all the layers of clothing he had on.

Garroth had taken them to the shop his mother had dragged him to when he needed new clothes, both Laurence and Katelyn were overwhelmed with the shock of how expensive everything was, but Garroth didn't seem to be bothered by how a pair of shoes were in the hundred dollar range. Garroth then let Katelyn loose, having her go and pick out a few suits and other things for Laurence to try on.

Katelyn had come back with four separate pairs of shoes, a couple pairs of pants, and five different jackets. She then made Laurence try on every single one of them. Garroth had tried to stop her, but, as everyone learns one time or another, no one stops Katelyn when she wants to really do something. Laurence, who had come into the store in shorts and a hoodie, was relieved to wear something else, everyone was staring at him and Katelyn. Garroth had dressed in appropriate clothes for this place, which earlier both Laurence and Katelyn had said was to fancy, and simply led them to the men's department.

"Perfect!" Both Garroth and Katelyn said, same tone, different meaning. Laurence blushed and the thought of Garroth wearing something like it made him lock up. Garroth looked at the gold watch in his wrist, made a face, then looked at Katelyn.

"It's 5:34, we should be going" Garroth said, standing up, "Why don't you go and get back into your normal clothes" he said, his voice cracking ever so slightly, Katelyn grinned again.

After Laurence was back in his clothes, Garroth had told them to wait while he payed for it, Laurence was stunned, how could Garroth pay for all that Katelyn picked out, it had to be at least two hundred dollars worth of crap. Laurence was still in shock about just how loaded Garroth was when Garroth walked back to them with a shopping bag full of his purchases, dumping it into Laurence's arms.

"Well, here you go buddy!" Garroth said, imagining the beautiful stories he would write when he got home.

"Gee, thanks..." Laurence said, straining under the weight. He gained his bearings and started for the door, not wanting any more of this.

Garroth followed, dragging Katelyn away from all the women's clothes before she go another idea. They had gotten everything they needed for both events, one involved hours of staying up late, making a costume you would only wear once, and the other involved fancy clothing and talking like you actually knew what was going on. The shopping for the costume supplies had gone great, Kawaii~chan had told them of a store that sold everything, and they had found everything. Foam, fabric, premade crowns, and the like, all reasonably priced as well. Laurence was looking forward to both of them, both for the same reason oddly enough. Garroth had wormed into Laurence's mind and wasn't coming out anytime soon.

As they piled into Garroth's red car, Laurence thought of something that he and Garroth could do together that didn't involve fancy clothes, or any clothes at all. Unknown by him though, Garroth was thinking the same thing.
