blue, red. (jyatt)

The boy. Young and tired walked through the isles breathing in the pages of yellowing books, and wondering stories. His fingers trailed along the spines of the various books deciding on what to read. It was dark out, a blue sky. A blue boy. A hot chocolate he had placed down, waited at the coffee table and bean bag he would always tuck himself into every Monday night. He stopped, his oversized hoodie covering his hands. Biting on his chapped lips he knelt down to the bottom row slipping a book to his chest. Rising up his breathing hitched as his eyes met with brown ones on the other side. Unblinking and oddly intriguing. He tilted his head to the side a small smile on his cheeks. He fiddled with the sleeves of his grey jumper and mumbled a 'Hi'. Following the obvious rules. However the curly haired boy just stared back, maybe a hint of a smirk on his red lips. 'Um what's your name?' he tried again his brows furrowing. Still the other boy just stood, eyes not moving through the tiny gap of books. 'Okay' Jaeden trailed off feeling slightly awkward about the encounter. Slowly turning on his heels he started to walk back to his nook. His eyes staring down at his boots. He blinked, though, when he saw another pair, and pants and a shirt and a warm face with a red blush behind his freckles. 'Um so you should totally read this book' the boy finally blurted out shoving a book to him. He had a nice voice Jaeden thought. But before he could reply the boy had left, his fading footsteps the only sign of him even being real. Jaeden stared down at the book in his hands and slipped open the first page. A pale sticky note was stuck over the title. Your cute, um text me.

A hot blush crawled up Jaeden's neck, his finger trailing over the number scribbled down messily. Shaking his head a nervous laugh leaving his mouth.

A tired blue boy and a shy red boy.
