11:00 P.M.
It was the same dark and disturbing man. Hera had chills down her spine. Her heart was racing and cold sweat sprung from her forehead. The one question on Hera's mind was, 'How does he know about the children?'
Hera hung up and tossed the phone on the coffee table then slowly looked over at the stairs. She was creeped out and scared by this ominous caller that she didn't even want to know about the kids. Yet, a voice kept telling her to go and check the kids out so she made her way up the stairs.
She walked down the hall until noticing a door full of children drawlings. Hera slowly grabbed the door knob and turned it not yet opening it. Then when she had the guts, Hera opened the door quietly to not wake up the children if they were still asleep. She peeked inside to see a little boy with a toy cat in his arms and a girl in a different bed. Both were still asleep.
Hera closed the door and sighed in relief when both children were ok. She made her way back to the living room where once again the phone was ringing. Hera went over and picked it up answering it. "Hello?" Hera said hesitantly. "How are the children?" The man asked. The air was caught in her throat when she felt herself breathing hard and shake.
Hera was frozen in fear then looked around the house. She didn't even realize that she had dropped the phone on the floor in her frantic state. Hera then fled to the big windows and closed the curtains then grabbed the phone and hid behind the couch. She called Kallus and waited for him to answer the phone.
"This is officer Kallus," the officer said. "He can see me," Hera said frantically. "Who is this?" The officer asked. "His is Hera the babysitter," Hera said shaking, "He can see me, he can see me! He called me again!"
"What did he say?" The officer asked curiously. "He can see me, he is outside!" Hera cried in terror. "Can you see him?" The officer asked. "No, but he can see me through the windows," Hera said. "Ok, calm down," Kallus said then asked, "Is the house locked?"
"Yes," Hera said breathing hard and trying not to cry. "Ok, I'm going to call the phone company to track this guy's phone. I need you to keep him on the phone for 60 seconds so we can trace it, ok?" The officer said. "Yeah, ok," Hera said trying her best to calm down. "Do you know the address?" The officer asked.
"No, my dad brought me here," Hera said and looked for anything with address. She found a magazine with the address and told the officer. "I know where that is," Kallus said, "It will take at least 20 minutes to get there. Will you be ok until then?"
Hera was unsure he hen she answered his question, "Yes, thank you." Kallus hung the phone up and Hera was doing her best to calm down while she waited for the creepy guy to call. I knew that this was going to be a long night...
