Carassendra was on her way to kings cross station, knowing that she could not be late for the train. the thing that was waiting for her was too important. she didn't know where she was coming from, only that she needed to be on time for this. she needed to go to a school, and this was the only one that might accept her. rushing around, people were all in a hurry to get somewhere. 'well guess what, so am i.' she thought pushing through the current of people in nice suits and cases. in her hurry, she didn't see the few who were dressed in the strangest clothes.

for a second carassendra stood in her tracks. which platform was she supposed to go to? platform... 9! yes 9. looking at the brochure, she started to walk faster, and soon unknowingly ran into a pillar. now, if this had been a regular pillar, she would have ended up getting a bloody nose and possibly a concussion. but with this pillar, carassendra walked right through it. she looked up and read the sign. it read platform 9. the end of the sign was covered, but since there was really nothing else it could be, she continued on.

all around her were families. there was one that stood out quite nicely.  everyone had wild ginger hair. carassendra rushed past. she would not be late for this! the train blew its whistle and it was a mad dash to the train. a swarm of kids, varying in age, clambered and scuttled on board. she was not going to be left behind, she thought, feeling a little more determined than she had been 5 seconds ago. she sprinted onto the train. not really noticing anything, she ran into a cart and locked the door behind her. some faint voice told her it would be a long ride. looking around, carassendra realized that there was a voice coming from the other side of the wall. but really, she didn't care. and she fell asleep.

she had a dream about a lady siting on her butt and writing down carassendra's every move, then the dream shifted and she saw someone reading the very words the lady had written.  this was definitely the weirdest dream she had ever had. the dream expanded to show.... absolutely nothing.

"that was stupid" she muttered " why would i even have that dream?" she was yelling but she didn't care. carassendra didn't really care about much. she had not cared about anything since forever. she only wanted to get her life back on a relatively normal path.

the train stops and she bolts out of the train to find the weirdest place she has ever seen.
