When her last class was done for the day, Alison waits for Emily at the entrance of the school. Emily slowly walks up from behind and scares her, Alison jumps and holds Emily close. Surprised by the sudden movement, Emily holds Alison back but Alison lets go soon after.

"Sorry princess, I didn't know you would get that scared." Emily says laughing.

"Can we just go?" Alison asks embarrassed.

"As you wish princess." Emily gestures her hand outside.

Emily and Alison head to the parking lot and get in the car. The drive to Emily's house was silent, every now and then, Alison and Emily would glance at each other when the other wasn't looking. They arrive at Emily's house and go up to her room.

"Please sit down, make yourself comfortable." Emily says with a smile.

They sit and talk about the assignment, what to do, how to divide the work. They eventually decide that they need to read the book before continuing and agree to do it over the week and meet again on Monday.

Emily stays serious throughout the discussion and Alison likes this side of her. Emily catches Alison staring "Now princess, I know I'm irresistible but we got work to do, you can stare all you want after that." Emily smirks without looking at Alison.

Alison quickly averts her gaze and asks "Can you like go one conversation without flirting?"

Emily looks in her eyes "Not with you." she says with a smile.

Emily's mom, Pam, walks in to ask for snacks for the girls. "Emmy, would you like-" Pam stops and notices that it isn't Hanna, Aria or Spencer that is in Emily's room, she's a little surprised because Emily never brings anyone but the girls to the house. "Emmy, won't you introduce me to your new friend?" Pam asks curious.

"Mom this is prin- Alison, Alison DiLaurentis, she's new to the school." Emily says hoping her mom didn't catch her almost saying 'princess'.

"Oh, are you Jessica's daughter? We used to be real close friends in school but we kinda fell out of touch after she moved to New York with Kenneth but anyway how are they?" Pam asks smiling.

"They are divorced actually, that's why mom and I moved to Rosewood but I guess they're both fine." Alison says with a weak smile.

"Oh honey, I'm so sorry to hear that. Why don't you and your mom come over for dinner sometime? Maybe this Friday?" Pam asks.

"Sure Mrs.Fields, I'll ask her and let you know." Alison smiles warmly at Pam.

"Alright, I'll let you guys continue your work and get you both something to eat." Pam says and leaves.

After some time, Alison starts to leave but Emily doesn't want her to, so she asks her to watch a movie as there's a lot of time. Alison agrees because for some reason even she doesn't want to leave.

Emily puts on a horror movie because it's her favorite genre whereas Alison hates horror movies but she doesn't want to reveal that so she keeps her mouth shut as the movie begins.

'Okay, this isn't so bad, see Alison nothing to be afraid about.' Alison thinks halfway through the movie. 'Wait, what's that? Why is that thing moving in the back.' She moves closer to Emily without thinking.

"Ahhh." Alison screams and hides her head in the nape of Emily's neck. She then lifts her head and they stare into each other's eyes, slowly Emily leans in, Alison stays still as her brain freezes and stops thinking but instinctively leans a little, just as their lips was about to touch, someone screams in the movie and they move apart.

After a few minutes Alison gets up "I think I should go, it's getting late."

"Alright, let me get my jacket, I'll drop you back." Emily offers as she grabs her keys.

"No, actually I prefer walking but thanks for asking. See you tomorrow at school." Alison says rushing out before Emily could reply.

Pam comes to Emily's room after Alison leaves. "Why did she run out like that?" She asks her daughter.

Emily shrugs "I don't know, I offered to drop her but she refused and ran out."

"Emmy, do you like her?" Pam suddenly asks.

"What? No, where did you get that idea from?"

"I saw the way you looked at her when she talked and you never bring any girl home except your best friends Aria, Spencer and Hanna, so I assumed this girl must be special to you." Pam says.

"I don't know mom, we were paired up together for an assignment so I brought her home to work on it, that's it." Emily defends herself.

"Alright honey, she is a very sweet girl, I like her." Pam says with a smile and leaves.

"She is." Emily mumbles to herself as she falls back on the bed, remembering the days' events. Could she really be falling for this girl or is she just another girl on Emily's list.

Meanwhile, Alison on the way to her house thinks about Emily and their almost kiss. Is she starting to fall for the girl she hated not even 24 hours ago? Alison convinces herself that Emily is just playing around and she shouldn't let herself fall for someone like Emily.
