The sun glared through the window of Connor Murphy's already packed room. Staring up from his book, Connor grimaced at the emptiness of the space.
"Are you okay?" his boyfriend of what would be 9 months in two weeks, Evan, asked.
"Yeah, 'm just thinkin'" he mumbled, smiling lazily at Evan's innocent face.
"Are you excited? To move I mean, you won't have to deal with a constantly nagging Zoe."
"Or constantly walking in on Alana and Zoe eating each other's faces." Connor sneered, making a face of sheer disgust.
"Aww I think its kinda cute. They love each other almost as much as we do." Evan said.
"Key word being almost, I love you more than physically possible." Connor shared a rare smile and pecked Evan's cheek.
"You are one cheesy man Connor Murphy." Evan laughed and looked into his lover's eyes.
"Oh shut up, you love me." Connor said with a sassy face, picking up the bottle of forest green nail polish and shaking it before opening it and touching up his nails.
"Indeed I do, also can you do mine afterward?"
"Mhm." Connor smiled.
((~Timeskip brought to you by the Lorax, he could be hiding anywhere~))
"Are you two ready to go?" Mrs. Murphy asked her son, who was toying with Evan"s hair, and Evan. Who was going on about how he was going to buy a bonsai tree once they got to the shared apartment that was being paid for by both the Murphy's and Evan's mother.
"Y-yes ma'am!" Evan chirped shyly
"I don't really have a choice either way do I?" Connor asked with a bored expression.
"No, but a positive outlook would be nice." Mrs. Murphy said.
"Then I don't see a reason to answer, it's not changing your mind at all, and the only good part of this is that Evan is going to be there with me."
"Connor! Come on aren't you at least a little excited? I mean its a new school!" Evan whined, a hopeful glint in his anxious eyes. Connor's demeanor immediately changed to warm and loving.
"Of course I am love. Just a tad bit nervous that's all." he smiled mushily.
"Good god! You are the most bipolar fucker I've had the displeasure to interact with." Zoe sighed dramatically as she strode down the staircase.
"Oh bite me bitch." Connor groaned.
"No thank you, and Evan how do you love him? Like seriously." she asked.
"H-huh? M-me? Um w-w-well..." Evan sputtered as Connor drew the smaller male into his chest.
"Zoe, stop bullying my Evan, we don't want him catching cooties." Connor teased, a smirk upon his lips and a playful look in his eyes.
Zoe sighed and gazed at her brother.
"I'll miss you Connor, and if you forget to call me, I will fly over to New Jersey and kill you myself. Am I clear?""Yes you are. Crystal clear." He grinned sarcastically as the taxi outside honked it's horn impatientally.
"Well, we must be off, I'll call you when we get to Jersey. And before I regret even admitting this I'll miss you guys." Connor sighed and hugged his parents, Evan did the same then hugged his mom.
"Remember, I'm just a phone call away if you need me, and don't forget to write your letters!" Evan's mom said with a maternal tone.
"Of course." Evan nodded.
"I'll make sure he doesn't forget." Connor grinned with an unknown glint in his iris as they packed their things in the car and prepared to travel towards their new and unknown futures.
