The small, yet not claustrophobic, room had a window with a single bed sitting underneath. And a little closet which now held the few clothes Angelica had left. Angelica looked up from sitting on her bed to see that the grey clouds outside the window had finally broken and started to spit.

Suddenly needing to smell the fresh air and to feel the rain on her skin, Angelica stands up to go outside.

Walking out into the corridor and over to the front door, Angelica reaches to open it when she hears a deep rumbling. Thunder? smiling to herself she opens the door and steps onto the porch and shuts the door behind her. Walking down the steps Angel looks up at the sound of more rumbling, to find her self face to face with the source of what she first thought was thunder. No, not thunder. Growling.

No more than a few meters away stood a large coal black....... Dog? Wolf? Do they even have wolves here? Whatever it was she knew it had to be some sort of canine. It's coat was long and looked softer than down, and it's eyes were a crystal blue that seemed to radiate beauty. It's magnificent. Angel thought. Staring at it, the world almost seemed to tilt, until a rasping voice broke through the turn her dazed-like thoughts had taken.

Tearing her eyes away from the radiant beast, Angelica looked back towards the house see her aunt breathing heavily in the door way.

"Angelica, come inside or you'll catch your death out here" Ange rasped.

Turning back one last time Angelica managed to glimpse a black shadow disappearing into the trees, before walking back up the porch and into the house. Moving down the corridor to the kitchen area where her aunt was waiting, a sudden flash of light followed by a clap of thunder fills the room, but what caused angelica to jump was the sudden feeling of a hand on her shoulder.

Spinning around, she winded up face to face with her Aunt who was holding a bowl of what looked like grey murky liquid.

"Eat." She rasped putting the bowl down on a table with a chair.

"And please don't stay up late." Then she turned and shuffled down the corridor only to disappear into what was probably her room.

Letting out a small sigh, Angelica turned and sat at the table, grimacing at the warm, bitter taste of what she guessed was soup. Listening to the rain that had now turned into a full blown storm, Angelica finished off her 'soup' and washed her plate in the sink. Glancing around the room, Angelica did a double-take as her eyes spot a clock on the wall that reads 9:47pm. Yawning, she decides to head off to bed. Changing into some boy shorts and a singlet she crawls in to bed and drifts to sleep listening to the storm raging outside.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*

A lone howl splits the night air, causing me to sit up in bed. I can hear beats like a drum in the distance. Boom.... Boom.... Boom.... Creating a tribal like rhythm. I hear singing. Not words, just..... Sound. I get up and walk to the door. The night becomes blurry and I suddenly find my self in the forest, surrounded by animals and people in masks dancing. With fire and others. I feel something watching me. Turning I meet a pair of ice blue eyes, in a body as dark as coal. It's the canine from earlier that day. The music suddenly becomes a faint chant, faded music in the background. I keep watching those eyes and those eyes keep watching me. The forest begins to spin around the wolf and I.

Everything goes dark.
