F. S. (Fallen Shadow) POV

I heard the sound of wind again that I had remembered clearly, getting a light chill and pulling my blanket closer to me

"Fallen" I heard someone say, nudging me lightly

"Mm...." I moaned lightly and turned over

"Fallen, it's time to get up, we're splitting up in groups"

"Uesa....?" I opened my eyes slightly, looking up at the girl with wolf ears

"Shhhhh! I told you to call me Wolf" Wolf responded

"Sorry...." I said lightly while sitting up

"Your hair!" Wolf's eyes widened as she looked at my hair

"What about it?" I asked, rubbing my eyes

"The tips... they're red..." Wolf said, grabbing a chunk of my jet black hair with a red tips

"What?!" I suddenly realized, and nearly fell over "But how? My hair is black! It's always been black..."

"Hidden..." Wolf said

"Yeah...?" I looked at her, puzzled

"What color are your eyes?" she asked

"Uh... brown, why?" I answered, looking puzzled

"They're red." she began to look serious

"How?!" I looked around, my vision was fine, I felt normal... actually, now that I thought about it... I felt kinda... dizzy...

...

...

...

I looked around the room, seeing all the people I've gotten close with over the past couple days, Hidden Wolf, Daylily Luck, and Sunset Nightshade

"She's awake!" Night said looking at me and back at the other two

"What... happened?" I groaned a little as I sat up, looking curiously at the other three bandits

"That's what we were hoping to ask you" Luck responded, with a worried look on her face

"I... don't know, the last thing I remember was Wolf realizing my hair color and eye color changed...." I said, looking down at the ground

"Sounds like someone put a spell on you..." Night said

"A curse, maybe?" Luck asked

Night shook her head "Doubt it, it doesn't seem like anything dangerous... just... powerful" Night said, looking in my eyes, trying to see if she could see anything out of the ordinary, other than the color

"How is it powerful and not dangerous?" Wolf said with a chuckle, as if to say it's impossible for something to be powerful and not dangerous

I let my thoughts trail off while they had their conversation There was something... my mother told me, a long time ago... something about a curse, that was sort of a... gift? and it would only be visible once I turned a certain age... so how old am I...

"What day is today?" I asked, interrupting their conversation "Today? hmm... October 13th, I think" Luck responded, looking at the others to see if she was right

"14th, yesterday was the 13th." Night said, Luck thought for a moment and nodded

"So yesterday was my birthday..." I said as I grabbed some of my hair to look at the red tips

"It was?" Wolf looked at me, in shock and realization "If that's the case maybe you had a curse for the day you turned... how old are you?" Wolf continued

"well... if my birthday was yesterday I'm 15 now." I said

"Hmm... red eyes, hair has red tips... 15... jet black hair in general... brown eyes originally..." Night started talking to herself, pacing back and forth "I've got it!" She said, hitting her fist on her open hand

"Hm?" The rest of us looked at Night in confusion "What is it?" I asked

"It sounds like a curse, more like a gift if you ask me, but it gives you magic, fire magic... which, is dangerous if you can't control it." Night said

"Say wha?" I asked Magic... If I have fire magic then... winter should be easy to live through!

"Yes.... There's a name for this... curse, but I don't recall... But there's a good reason why people consider it a curse." Night said, slumping to the ground

"How do you know about this kind of stuff anyways?" I asked, looking at Night

"It's simple, I took an interest in magic since I was a kid..." Night responded and she began mumbling to herself things about curses, while I just looked at them, curiously wondering their ages

"How old are you anyways?" I asked, I barely heard Night mumble "16" I then looked up at Wolf and Luck "We're both 18" Wolf said

"Mm, okay..." I mumbled in acknowledgement and lay back to go back to sleep
