"Stefan..let..go of..me." I couldn't breathe. I could tell that this night, I was going to die. My 'precious' life will finally be to an end. I used to want to leave this world, but now that I met Damon, I don't want to leave this 'ungrateful' world. I tried to get out of Stefan's choke hold, but he was too strong for me to handle. How was this? What, does he take steriods or something?! I need aswers as to why he's so strong. "Stefan! No! Let go of her, if you kill her, I'd be gladly to kill you." Damon yelled. I could tell all of this was making a scene, but I didn't care. I cared about my friends, myself, and most importantly Damon, but no one will ever take Jeremy from me. He's the last Gilbert I'm related to that I know is alive. Jeremy walked up and pushed Stefan off. "Elena are you okay?!" Jeremy started crying. "I'm fine, you need to get out of here. Go home, look all the doors and windows, and don't bother coming out of that house. You hear me?'' I spoke softly, but anger was noticable in my voice. "Okay, but be safe. Please, Elena. I can't lose you. I love you." Jeremy said, and hugged me tightly before walking/running away from the scene. "I love you, too." I whispered. I saw Stefan charging towards me, but I used what my dad taught me and tripped him, dodging out of his way. He didn't seen hurt by hitting the ground with full force and going head first. What is this?! A dream?! "How are you not hurt?!'' I was stepping away from a really angry Stefan. "Because I'm a vampire. We heal right away, and we're stronger than any human being in this world." Stefan said harshly, while walking towards me. What the hell was he saying?! "W-what are you talking about? Vampires are real?" I stuttered, fully shocked. "Yeah, they are. And you're little date over there is one, too." Stefan gestured to Damon. "Elena, I would never hurt you. Please don't flip out on me, I would never drink from you. Or any innocent person." Damon said, tears in his eyes, threatening to come out. "I know, Damon." I smiled a sincere smile to make sure he knew I believed him. Because I honestly did believe Damon.
"Aw, look at the two love birds." Stefan commented, making me really pissed off. I walked up to him and slapped him. ""That's for all the shit you put me through last year. Lying to me?! What, did you honestly think you'd get away with it? If you thought that, you are an idiot. I noticed tonight, when Damon picked me up at my house, that my love for you was not real. It was the kind of relationship of a child that thought Unicorns existed. Then after I ended things with you, reality set in and I was Elena Gilbert again. Oh boy, it was painful being your girlfriend. All those nights you abandoned me and left me to mope around in my empty room. Well, you know what? You're the one that's paying for it. I would never have treated you like that and you know it. And speaking about abandoning me, where were you?! Cheating one me? Doing drugs with my brother? Finding ways to tear me apart? Trying to get away from me? Because if so, you should've just broken up with me. Those days, weeks, even months that you weren't with me, I never cheated on you. I stayed faithful to you, Stefan. And right now, I wish I would've never met you." I finished, and walked away. I could feel Stefan's intense glare on me, burning holes through my whole body. All the things I said to him were truthful. How could he be such a dick, and not even apologize for it? I walked out of the school and noticed Damon following me. "Elena, I'm so sorry. I was going to tell you about me when we got more comfortable with each other. Just promise me you won't tell anyone?" Damon looked really sincere. "I promise." I assured him. I couldn't be selfish and just tell everyone he's a vampire, because I know for a fact that he wouldn't do that to me.
"Damon, can you take me home? And maybe you can tell me more about vampires?" I smiled at him. "I'd love to."
