The next morning, Hermione was awoken by the tap tapping of claws on her window. She quietly eased off the bed, not wanting to awake Draco. She opened the window and the owl dropped a thick envelope into her hands. Hermione gently petted the owl before it flew off. Upon closer inspection, she realized that the Hogwarts seal was on the envelope. Her curiosity got the best of her, and she carefully opened the letter. Inside it read:
To Mr and Mrs Malfoy:
We are pleased to tell you that you have been invited to Hogwarts' 5th year anniversary. The anniversary will be held July 15th. We do hope you will join us. This is an opportunity for old friends to reconnect, and even give everyone a chance to make new friendships. Children are also welcome.
Sincerely:
Headmistress Minerva McGonagal
"Draco," Hermione breathed. He mumbled under his breath into his pillow. "Draco!" She said a bit louder. His light blonde head poked up from under the covers and looked around the room with sleepy eyes.
"What is it?" he groggily replied.
"Just come over here and see for yourself".
He groaned, but got out of the large bed and took the letter from Hermione's hands. His eyes scanned the page and then widened in shock.
"What do you think?" Hermione asked softly stepping into his embrace.
"I think we should go. I mean the kids will want to see Hogwarts, seeing as they will be going there. Plus, it will give you a chance to see your old friends shocked wen they see that we're married. You shouldn't be the one who has to leave and never come back after what happened. It will give Potter and Weasel something to regret." he stated.
"I think your right," she agreed, smiling at her husband.
