It's my senior year an I can't wait for it to be over. My school is full of conservatives so naturally I'm scared shitless. Fortunately I have I found a group of people who are like me. Gay. out group consists of eight people Amy, Alexis (lex), rose, Giselle, Brittany, Melina, Callie, and me. We all are either gay or supporters of them.

I was walking down the hall with Amy and lex when all if a sudden lex gets on her knees and says " Amy may perry ever since I first say you I knew you were the only one I wanted. I know this May seem strange but will you be my girlfriend?" I watched partially in shock and amusement. Amy just stood there and lex started to get visa ably nervous. " ummm maybe this wasn't such a good idea," she said fidgeting a little.

Amy caught her arm and said, "yes." At that very moment lex jumped up shrinking with peer happiness. I had know of course that Amy liked lex but I never thought lex liked her back so as they walked off hand in hand I just stood there in shock.

"That was pretty disgusting wasn't it" I heard from behind me. I spun quickly around to see a disgusted looking Shaun.

"Yeah groos," I lied feeling absolutely disgusted with my self, but I had to agree or else the I would spiral back down. I thought back to the time the entire school was making fun of me and calling me fag and queer. I shock my head at the thought and walked away with my head down.

It was fifth period and I had English with Amy. We sat on opposite sides of the room. from Amy's side of the room I heard somebody say "wow that's gay." I looked up just in time to see Amy in Blake's face.

"I told you Blake gay is not an insult!" she hissed furiously. I envied how she could speak about her self that way.

"Sorry geez," Blake said not looking sincere at all.

The rest of the day was pretty calm I mean nothing happened as far as name calling and stuff like that. when I got home my phone started ringing so I picked it up.

"Hello" I said.

"Hey," Amy said back, "so me and lex we're wondering if you wanted to go out some where?"

"Uhh sure but were," I asked curious as to where she want all three if us to go.

"We'll we were thinking we could go to university park mall"

"Yeah that would be Fun," I said excitedly.

"Great we'll be there in five."

"K sounds good." I quickly got up ready to walk out the door when my mom asked "where are you going at this hour?"

"U P mall with some friends," I said giving her the biggest smile I could force onto my lips.

"Ok have fun," she said returning the smile. I walked out the door and waited for Amy and lex to pull up. finally they did after what seemed like hours.

"Finally," I said getting in the car.

"Sorry we got a little side tracked," she said starting to blush. when we got there we instantly headed for hot topic. when we got to where it should have been we found a star bucks there instead. we all looked at each other in confusion. Finally walking in we saw zoey and Kylie setting in the booth. we walked up and asked "where's hot topic?"

"We got rid of it and had them put in a Starbucks instead" they said flashing a smile. we all looked at each other and ran to Amy's car.

When we got in Amy yelled "how f*cking dare they get rid of hit topic. it was the one thing we had and it's gone."

"Hey it's ok" lex said trying to calm her down.

"No it's not f*cking ok. they took away the one place I felt accepted they must pay for what they've done." And with that we left. the war with the populars beginning.
