In The Captain's Cabin

The light of the setting sun moved in upon the windows of the Black Pearl, illuminating the mahogany walls and the fine food that laid upon the long table. On the wall, the sun's rays bounced off of silver-lined mirrors and expensive paintings. Jack the Monkey sat on his perch eating a walnut and gently swinging back and forth.

Captain Hector Barbossa brushed his coarse fingers over the back of a chair at the table. He lit a match and held it to a candle placed in the middle of the table, the candle was blood red and it highlighted the fruit basket full of golden apples which was kept next to the Captain's chair at all times.  Barbossa picked up his broad hat and, with a spin, rested it on top of his head.

Just then, the double doors to the Captain's cabin swung open and there stood the silhouette of the man whom Barbossa loved. Jack Sparrow swaggered in, still dripping wet from the storm which Calypso brewed up earlier that day.

"Ah, Hector!" Jack noted, looking at Barbossa up and down.

"Jack... Ye still be sopping wet, lad. Sit yerself down by the fire, boy, and get dried" Barbossa gestured towards the fireplace and pulled up a chair for his beloved. With a suspicious glance to the monkey, Jack gratefully accepted the chair in front of the fire and an apple from Barbossa.

"Hector, what happened between Will and Elizabeth?" Jack asked, tilting his head to look at the Captain.

"Aye..." Barbossa walked over to the window and gazed out onto the sea, "I be-wed them" He turned and raised an eyebrow at Jack, who shrugged and faced the fire. " 't'was a true pirate's wedding, in the midst of battle... I been thinking," Barbossa paused, "I think I'd much like that kinda wedding me-self." He walked over to Jack's chair and hugged him from behind, pecking him on the cheek with chapped lips.

Jack grunted and fiddled with a page of the book Barbossa left out earlier; 'Six ways to propose to your loved one'. Barbossa was frustrated. As much as he loved Sparrow, he could be so oblivious sometimes.

"So... What d'ya think they'll do for their honeymoon, boy? An island adventure, perhaps?" Barbossa walked to the back of the cabin, keeping a close ear out for Jack to catch his drift.

"I dunno, probably Singapore" Jack absent-mindedly replied

"Aye." Barbossa sighed and rolled his eyes. He strode to the front of the chair and knelt down in front of Jack and rested his head on his knee, Jack brushed his hair out of his face and looked in his blue eyes. "I've been thinkin' about weddin's recently, ya know, Jack."

"Really?" Jack said with a look of surprise, "Why?"

Barbossa sighed and retired to his desk in the corner of the room. Hector gave up, deciding that Jack will not take the hint. Jack craned his neck around the chair to look at him "Hector, darlin', what are you doing?"

"No, what ar' ya doin'?"

"No, what are you doing?!"

"No, what ar' ya doin'!?"

"No, I-" Jack stuttered

"For God's sake Jack Sparrow, y'ave the brain of a cork! How much do I need to tell ye!?"

"Oh!" A look of realization came over Jack's face, he swung his legs over the side of the chair and stood up to face his captain. He smiled. "So, darling, what say you? Shall we be married?" Jack moved closer to his fiance, so he could feel his breath.

"Aye, finally! I'd like that, ya know."  Barbossa had to contain himself from yelling. He breathed out a sigh of relief at Jack finally taking a hint. He looked Jack in the eye. "I bet you ne'er even bought me a ring you cheap bastard." Barbossa looked at Jack playfully.

"Nay, but you can 'ave this!" Jack picked up the juiciest apple he could find and held it up to his partner. Barbossa took a bite and held it between his teeth. Jack grinned and went to take the slice from Barbossa's mouth.

Just as their lips touched, Elizabeth burst in, still full of adrenaline from being made Pirate King and marrying her love earlier that day.

"Jack, I need- oh, sorry! Gosh, I'm so sorry I never meant to interrupt" Elizabeth stammered over her words "I-I'll come back later?" Elizabeth turned to leave.

"Nay, Elizabeth, come back 'ere, lass!" Barbossa called after her, leaving Jack to eat the apple slice.  "Marry us, before this idiot forgets what we're doin'."

"What?!" Elizabeth always suspected something was going on between the two captains, she wasn't prepared to marry them so soon!

"Go on, do it!" Jack encouraged.

"Fine," she signalled for them to come together. They joined hands. "Dearly beloved we be gathered here today to celebrate the love between the two captains of this ship," She looked at them both, "Do you, Hector Barbossa, take Jack Sparrow to be yours in sickness and in health, 'til death do you part?"

"Aye" Barbossa brushed the locks out of Jack's face.

"Do you, Jack Sparrow, take Hector-"

"I do" Jack interrupted, before Elizabeth could finish the vow. Barbossa chuckled at Jack's impatience.

"You may kiss-" Before Elizabeth finished her sentence, Barbossa grabbed Jack's face and kissed him passionately. Jack placed his hands around Barbossa's waist and pulled himself into the Captain.

Elizabeth decided it was best to just leave them to it.
